The episode picks up from the publishing company office, where Bo-ra is trying to win over Sang-jin and Su-hyeok to sign the book contract with her, just so that she can get the advance payment for her apartment’s down payment. But it isn’t an easy task to go back to someone after rejecting them to their face, with the promise of never working again.

Keeping all her ego and embarrassment aside, Bo-ra tries to play her cards as if she is doing a favour to them, as her next book is guaranteed to be a best seller with a great concept. Here Sang-jin truly shines & shows how he has made his company and doesn’t fall for her tactics, rather plays the reverse card & tries to refuse to sign her.

However, as Bo-ra makes up the concept of sharing her own failures and how to get over them, Sang-jin seems even more interested. She throws off the idea that she will write about ‘how to get your ex to come back & ask for forgiveness’. This idea clicks with everyone & they eventually sign the contract, on the spot. Leading to the team dinner, where Bo-ra kind of self-invites herself, to win all the brownie points she can.

Like every company dinner, the employee gets drunk, including Bo-ra and starts sharing their innermost thoughts that they wouldn’t usually tell. While Bo-ra reveals how she was the one to like her ex-boyfriend first and maybe more than he loved her back. She comments that it could have made him feel suffocated. Su-hyeok tries to empathize with her by sharing his failure in the relationship as well, by telling how he didn’t define his relationship & thought the other would ultimately understand his feelings.

Bo-ra replies that he must not have loved his ex-girlfriend enough to swallow his pride & express his true feelings or words of appreciation. Meanwhile, the other employees spill everything that they thought about Sang-jin, including having another group chat without him. On the way back home, Bo-ra and Su-hyeok get on the bus while discussing the reasons for her break-up, only for her to break the conversation with the urgency to pee.

The way she brings her face closer to him while sitting together on the bus, one would think that she is about to kiss him. Unpredictably, she needed to pee soon & not being able to find a public toilet nearby, she pees at the corner of the street, behind a car. If you thought that would be it, then things turn more embarrassing when the pee flows down to Su-hyeok’s foot, while he was on the lookout.

The next day Bo-ra woke up in a good mood, as she didn’t get any thoughts about her ex, as soon as she opened her eyes. But the events of the last night make her scream & curse at herself. From then on, she tries to avoid any call or meet-up with Su-hyeok, as she just wanted to wallow in her embarrassment. Even Yu-jeong was of no help, who made even more fun of her antics.

On the other hand, Jin-ho tries to get some love advice from Bo-ra so that he can get the girl of his destiny. After listening to his one-sided infatuation with Bo-mi, she advises him to not do anything because if it’s really meant to be, then he will meet her again. Little did she know, that they actually end up meeting as he is the one buying the hoodie from the second-hand marketplace.

Seeing Bo-mi again reaffirms his belief in her being his destined lover and gets a promise out of her that, if they meet again, then she will have to consider dating him for real. With him living in the basement of the restaurant where he works, it’s inevitable that they will meet again. The episode also showed how Yu-jeong and Jin-woo are trying to work on their relationship and the way a married couple gets what they want by trying to persuade the other.

True to Love Episode 7: Final Thoughts

The highlight of today’s episode has to be the peeing scene which will be added to the K-drama history as a legendary scene & we will be seeing it everywhere on social media for a while. The song that was played during that part sounds like a Jannabi band song & could be released in a few days. Also, the preview suggests that the next episode will be equally funny with Bo-ra trying to win her ex back.

True to Love (Bo-ra! Deborah) is currently available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
