Tripling Season 3 Review: The Sibling Drama is High on Emotions This Time

Zee5 and TVF’s Tripling Season 3 stars Kumud Mishra as Chinmay, Shernaz Patel as Charu, Sumeet Vyas as Chandan, Maanvi Gagroo as Chanchal, Amol Parashar as Chitwan and Kunal Roy Kapur as Pranay. Directed by Neeraj Udhwani, the story is by Sumeet Vyas (also screenplay) and Anurabh Kumar. Abbas Dalal has penned the dialogues for the show. The background score is by Aman Pant and the songs are composed by Jatin Raj, Chandan-Surya, and Aman. There are total 5 episodes of 25-30 minutes each.

The cinematography is done by Shaz Mohammed, and the editing is done by Farooq Hundekar. The synopsis reads, “Let’s go Tripling again! It’s time to see where are the siblings headed this time. ???? Chandan, Chanchal, and Chitwan are shocked to learn about their parents’ separation. But will the last adventure together convince their parents to reconsider their decision and save the family? “

Zee5’s Tripling Season 3 Review Contains No Spoilers

After 3 years, our favourite siblings Chandan, Chanchal and Chitwan are back. In the new season, their parents shock them with the news of their separation. The trio try to do everything to make sure the couple stays together. Like their childhood, they even take an impromptu family trip, a trek together to the mountains. Will their efforts (and tricks) save Chinmay and Charu from getting divorced?

In Tripling Season 1 and season 2, we saw the adventures and problems of Chandan, Chanchal and Chitwan. Their parents were sometimes in the background or as supporting characters. In season 3, their parents, Chinmay and Charu’s story, is more in focus. The sibling trio has difficulty accepting that their parents don’t want to be together and have already made individual plans.

One might wonder why the latest season focuses more on family drama instead of taking us out somewhere. But that’s what trips are about. After everything, home is where a person finds comfort.

Here, the triplings are about to lose their comfort. We can sense the trio dealing with the shock that their pillars of strength don’t want to be together. Writers Sumeet and Anurabh have given the parents a voice this season. Chinmay and Charu’s reasoning helps us empathise with them and understand their decision. Marriage isn’t always romantic; we’re shown that through Chanchal and Pranay’s relationship.

Tripling Season 3 1

While Chandan is still an overprotective brother, Chitwan’s growth impressed me the most in season 3. Even though Chitwan is the weirdest and most reckless among the trio, he’s also the one with a good heart. Amol Parashar is incredible in a scene where he confronts his parents for their decision.

Neeraj Udhwani’s direction is impeccable when the characters are vulnerable and sentimental. Whether it’s the separation, the sense of losing your comfort or childhood and giving second chances to love/life, it is depicted in a touching, sensible and endearing manner. Abbas Dalal has penned some meaningful dialogues which are modern, easy to understand and not at all preachy.

There’s never a moment where the makers go overboard, and the emotional parts are balanced well with some sweet and funny moments. There’s a reason why Tripling is one of the most loved TVF series. It feels raw, honest, and like a warm hug, and that effect is present even in the latest season.

Actors Kumud Mishra and Shernaz Patel have finally shown their acting prowess in the latest season. The duo has some sweet and impactful sequences, which are elevated because of their performances and the dialogues. As I mentioned above, Amol Parashar is incredible and makes you want to be friends with Chitwan and hug him. Actors Sumeet Vyas, Maanvi Gagroo and Kunal Roy Kapur played their parts well.

Overall, Zee5 and TVF’s Tripling 3 should be on your watchlist. The new season is entertaining and high on emotions. Despite focusing more on the family drama, the dramatic scenes never go overboard. The music is quirky, the story is heartwarming, and the performances are good. It’s the kind of show you want to watch in the comfort of your couch, alone or with your loved ones.
