Tower of God Season 2 Episode 6 Recap

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 7 Review Mazino Is The Highlight

This episode begins with Yeon tracking down Viole, discovering that he’s been meeting with members of the terrorist organization, FUG. Among them is Hwaryun, who appears to have been responsible for recruiting Bam into FUG under the alias Viole. Yeon, upset by this revelation, confronts Viole’s teammates, despite their being much stronger than her. Fortunately, Viole intervenes and knocks her out before she can put herself in serious danger.

However, despite their affiliations, Viole’s teammates show a surprising level of care for him. They even introduce themselves to Viole’s new companions, softening the harsh image of FUG. But just when it seems they might be misunderstood, their true nature is revealed, shedding light on Bam’s reasons for joining the organization and adopting a more ruthless demeanour.

Bam cannot afford to fail any of the tests and needs a powerful team to survive the challenges ahead. Unfortunately, he’s tied to his current group, towards whom he’s developed a sense of attachment. Wangnan realizes this and is determined to support Viole in any way he can.

However, their situation becomes dire when the next test involves a task that could spell doom for Wangnan and his team. They are required to venture inside Zygaena, a deep-sea creature revered by the inhabitants of the 21st floor, to retrieve a flower growing within its body.

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 7 Review And Recap

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 7 Review Mazino Is The Highlight

Today’s episode starts from the point where Viole faces his strongest opponent yet, Mazino. For those who do not know, Mazino is one of the strongest or perhaps the strongest characters after Zahard in the tower. It is Viole’s bad luck that he came face to face with such an opponent at such a low level.

However, Mazino is not outright hostile to Viole. On the contrary, he appeared quite playful, even challenging Viole into a game-like situation where if he managed to reach the flower of Zygaena earlier, then he could have it. However, if he gets caught by Mazino before that, his life will belong to Mazino.

This portion is definitely very intense, and we quickly see what being one of the strongest in the tower looks like. Mazino remains absolutely untouchable, and things could have gotten way worse had Miseng not been present in the situation. How a child like her manages to draw very unexpected results is something that you will have to see and find out for yourself.

After this situation, there also comes the question of whether Wangnan and others should stay beside Viole or not. Wangnan was even given the choice to go away unscathed without Viole, but he and others deny that proposition and decide to climb the tower with Viole by their side. This is also where Wangnan comes to a very critical decision that is going to shape his future adventures.

Verdict

Today’s episode was again really fascinating because we got to see Mazino in action. He is a dynamic character whose addition adds to the positive sides of this season. I would definitely love to see him get involved with Viole and Wangnan’s group again. Hopefully, Viole will be able to get to his goals and save his friends as he wishes.
