Phantom Lawyer Episode 7 Recap

This episode begins with Na-hyeon taking a drastic step after she gets accused of insubordination by Do-kyung. She quits the law firm even though Do-kyung tells her that she can’t. On the other hand, Yi-rang sees no ghosts for almost 2 weeks and becomes very happy in the beginning. However, soon after, he starts to miss these ghosts. Plus, Na-hyeon also gets asked to come back by Do-kyung, and when she declines, he makes it so that no other firm accepts her anymore. This makes it difficult for her to get paid, and she starts to look for clients. However, it is not that easy to get clients, and Yi-rang locates Na-hyeon in such a situation.

This segment was hilarious because Na-hyeon tries to pretend she doesn’t know Yi-rang, and he just keeps talking to her, further embarrassing her. But a cute moment passed between them when Yi-rang realised how good a human being she is at heart. Thus, the case that he got from a senior, he transfers it to Na-hyeon without her knowing. However, Yi-rang later gets to know that the case was for a construction gang that does illegal things. It was too late to stop Na-hyeon because she was already involved in the case by that time.

Na-hyeon realised the issue with this new company herself, and she decided to play a long game with them. She demanded all the important documents from them so that she could expose them. While she played along, she called her prosecutor friend and exposed their secrets. Not only that, but she also called the police officers to come to their office. However, the gang members attacked her, and that is when Yi-rang came to save her. After fighting for a bit, police officers also came and completely beat the gang members. This information went to Do-kyung, who became very upset that Na-hyeon got saved by Yi-rang.

After getting help from Yi-rang, Na-hyeon goes to visit him, and they spend some nice romantic moments. Here, they also shared their past and discussed sad memories. Yi-rang even goes to drop Na-hyeon off at her house. After listening to Na-hyeon’s story, Yi-rang discloses that he already knew how to get in touch with ghosts but avoided them because his family was getting worried about him. But he understood the importance of the work that he does. He accepted that if it’s his destiny, then he would love to be a lawyer who would help ghosts out. Then he calls for a ghost, and this time, a very special guest comes to him.

Phantom Lawyer Episode 7 Review

I like today’s episode because it finally managed to develop the relationship between Yi-rang and Na-hyeon. Previously, their bond seemed a bit too abrupt, but now, it feels like it is growing organically. Most likely, we will see Yi-rang and Na-hyeon get together and form their own law firms, and Do-kyung will not like that, which would cause problems. But I’m more interested in how the next case will go.
