Today’s Webtoon (오늘의 웹툰) is a 2022 Korean Coming-of-age Drama based on a Japanese Manga named Juhan Shuttai! by Naoko Matsuda. The series features Kim Se-jeong, Choi Daniel and Nam Yoon-su in leading roles. The series runs for 16 episodes and Today’s Webtoon Episode 3 has a runtime of 72 minutes.

In Today’s Webtoon Episode 3, Ma-eum and Jun-yeong get assigned to their artists and Ma-eum is more excited than Jun-yeong about the job. She has to manage her favourite artist, Na Gang-nam who writes Princess Gumiho, her favourite webtoon. Jang Man-chul asks Ji-hyeong if Ma-eum will be okay but Ji-hyeong thinks that a rookie will learn better with an experienced artist than a rookie artist. Jun-yeong has to manage Bbom whom he dislikes. Ju-hyeong explains everything to Ma-eum while Jun-yeong’s mentor just sends him texts on messenger.

Ma-eum sends a text to Artist Na to ask him if has been drawing the next episode. Na tells her that he is busy wrapping it up and gets annoyed when she sends him a text again. Bbom doesn’t like when anyone calls her before texting first but she sends Jun-yeong a text first and asks him to come to her studio. She makes him pick up all of her packages first thing. He sees a lot of her shopping but when he sees a lot of pain relief patches, asks if she was injured. She tells him all the chronic illnesses she has because of sitting in one place for a long time.
Bbom has chosen Jun-yeong to be her manager herself because she didn’t like to work with Kwon. She has no friends and works with her assistants online. Kwon didn’t like to have meetings at home but she wants to do that because that’s the only face-to-face conversation she can have. Jun-yeong empathises with her but he hasn’t changed his mind about changing departments. He talks with Editor Jang who tells him that he will see what he can do and tells him that there is no paradise where he wants to go. It is a line from a comic book that he loves but Jun-yeong has no knowledge about them.

Ji-hyung has been asking Ma-eum if she was keeping track of Na’s progress and though she said she was, she had only texted him once. Na hasn’t submitted his draft yet and the new episode is supposed to go up tonight. Ma-eum visits Na at his studio and finds him all panicked because his girlfriend has left him. He tells Ma-eum that he will take a week off to find her but Ma-eum promises him to find her if he finishes a new episode before the deadline.
Today’s Webtoon Episode 3 Ending
Ma-eum finds Han-seul’s location from her live broadcast and rides her scooter to find her and bring her back. Ji-hyung calls her and gets angry at her for making such a decision by herself and not keeping him in the loop. Jang Man-chul has declined to let Jun-yeong go because he thinks there is a reason behind why he was assigned to their department. If their team doesn’t perform well, Jang’s team might get fired and Jun-yeong will become the new lead. Jang leaves Jun-yeong alone to think about it but he gets a call from Ji-hyung to check on Na.
Na finishes his episode and Ma-eum brings back his girlfriend. However, she gets an earful from Ji-hyung the next day. Viewership for Na’s webtoon has decreased and Ma-eum has been going too easy on him. Jun-yeong has scored an interview with another company but he chooses to stay with NEON for the time being. He reads all the comic books that Jang mentioned. Ma-eum had been upset but her seniors tell her why Ji-hyung was angry. He had worked with Artist Na like a team to bring him to this status and Ma-eum has not been working enough to keep it up.
Ma-eum realizes that she was only cheering Na from outside but she needs to participate with Na and help him win, like a team. Na was angry at her for calling his recent episodes boring but she visits him again and asks him to revise the next episode a day before it goes up. Na declines but she is determined to get it done by him.
Today’s Webtoon Episode 3 Review
Today’s Webtoon Episode 3 shows how difficult it is to write a webtoon and how much an artist has to struggle to keep the webtoon going. Like Ji-hyung said, the more pain an artist goes through to write a webtoon, the more it gives pleasure to readers to read.
