Thor: Love and Thunder will be the second theatrical release for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2022. The first film to release this year was Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Xochitl Gomez, Benedict Wong and others. The film was set after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and WandaVision (2021). The fourth Thor film will be set after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
After giving us the super entertaining and action-packed Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Taika Waititi returns as the director for Love and Thunder. The trailer was released a month ago and got everyone excited and talking about it. Chris Hemsworth will play the God of Thunder again. Thor is also the only superhero to get the fourth solo film.
Thor: Love and Thunder Cast
The star cast of Thor 4 includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as King Valkyrie, Taika Waititi as Korg, Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, and Russel Crowe as Zeus. Actor Natalie Portman will return as Jane Foster/Might Thor after Thor: The Dark World.
The cast also includes Guardians of the Galaxy stars – Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Sean Gunn as Kraglin and Dave Bautista as Dax.

Thor: Love and Thunder Plot/Synopsis
As seen in the trailer, after being in depression due to the loss of his family and friends, Thor decides to work on himself. He loses weight and gets physically and mentally fit again. The God of Thunder also says that he’s retiring from being a superhero. However, Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher comes into the picture and aims to kill every God in the universe.
Sadly, Thor’s retirement plans have to be on hold to defeat Gorr. In the journey, his bond grows with the GoTG gang, and he also meets his ex-flame Jane, who can now lift the Mjolnir. A lot of twists and turns are expected in Waititi’s upcoming Marvel project.
Thor: Love and Thunder Release Date and Trailer
The Marvel film will release in Indian theatres on July 7, 2022. In the US, fans can watch it on the big screen from July 8, 2022.
