The Worst of Evil Episode 1 Preview: This Korean action-crime-thriller TV series (최악의 악) is written by Jang Min-suk, directed by Han Dong-wook and stars Ji Chang-wook, Wi Ha-joon and Im Se-mi in lead roles. The series is expected to have 12 episodes, with a runtime of around 60 minutes.

Chang-wook was last seen in the 2022 drama If You Wish Upon Me as Yoon Gyeo-rye; Ha-joon was last seen in 2022’s Little Women as Choi Do-il (alongside Kim Go-eun, Nam Ji-hyun, Park Ji-hu) and Se-mi starred in 2022’s The Empire as SBC Reporter Yoon Eun-Mi.

The Worst of Evil Plot

Set in Seoul in the 1990s, police officer Jun-mo is sucked into a deadly underworld drug peddling racket when a deadly organisation with a shadowy new leader starts selling a dangerous new drug in the nightclub scene and trafficking between Japan, China and Korea. Unfortunately, when he finds his wife, also a police officer, working undercover in this organisation as well for the same case, he must protect her and his mission with all his might. In the midst of doing this, however, certain truths come to the surface that he is probably not ready to face. Will Jun-mo be able to handle the weight of these scenarios and bring justice at the same time?

Planning to put a stop to it, he goes undercover to infiltrate the criminal organisation responsible for releasing this dangerous new hallucinogenic that no one had previously heard of. However, when he does find a way in, he is surprised to find his wife there, whose own shadowy past might just destroy everything that the passionate police officer has worked very hard to achieve.
