The trailer starts off with the athletes getting ready to compete in the swimming competition but the lead gets flashbacks of her time when she was trying to survive in the sea. Followed by the sisters’ lives back in Syria where they were like any other happy family, with dreams of competing in the Olympics.
But the conflict in Syria escalates out of control and they decide to get out of the war-torn country, to chase their dreams. They seem to find a way out via a boat, which will take them to Greece but the number of people wanting to board the small boat, pushed everyone to danger and the motor also stops working.
That’s when the two sisters decide to tirelessly swim and take the boat to the shore. But the journey to the Olympics is still a faraway dream and how how they make it to the 2016 Rio Olympics, is another remarkable story.
