The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 11 Recap

The episode opens with Conrad in Paris outside Belly’s house. However, he spots her with Benito, and he feels some sort of way. However, he musters up the courage to say hi to her. The two of them reacquaint with one another, and she promises to take Conrad on a touristy tour. Despite acting cool in front of him, she can’t hide her overwhelming feelings for him in private. Back at home, Jeremiah and Denise get to know one another deeper, while Taylor loses her mind when she learns about Steven’s move to California.

In Paris, Belly and Conrad do all the touristy things while Conrad can’t take his eyes off her. The two talk about their feelings about Paris and about their struggles with loneliness. In the end, Belly invites him out to a party, and he, secretly excited, accepts her invitation “reluctantly.”

That night, Conrad is stunned by how good Belly is looking as the two head out to the party. We eventually learn that Belly dumped Benito, and Conrad immediately starts to flirt with her, and Belly reciprocates equally enthusiastically. As her friends drool over Conrad, the two of them cosy up on the couch and seem to be at peace with one another. Back at Cousins, Jeremiah struggles to cook for the pop-up while Steven comforts Taylor and reassures her that he wants a life with her.

In Paris, Jeremiah and Conrad go on a walk and get closer as they talk about their past and their choices. It’s a thoughtful conversation, at the end of which he asks her to dance by the river. The dance eventually turns into them kissing one another, and the two eventually spend the night together. However, it’s a bit awkward afterwards as Belly desperately tries to stop his advances, keeping him at arm’s length, but Conrad finally tells her that he loves her. Belly, too, can’t deny these feelings.

In the end, though, the two fight and a heartbroken Conrad leaves for Brussels. Afterwards, Belly finally realises where her true feelings lie, and she rushes to stop him. She catches up to him on the train, where she confesses her feelings as well, and the two share a kiss.

A few months later, Conrad and Belly come back to Cousins, looking forward to a fulfilled life with one another.

In the epilogue, we see Conrad and Belly spending Christmas together in Paris, looking happy as one can be!

The Summer I Turned Pretty has a wonderful ending that brings everything together and delivers a fantastic conclusion. Belly and Conrad are happy, Jeremiah is happy, and things are back to where they should be. It’s uncomplicated, leaves a few questions unanswered, but, in the end, delivers a fan-service ending that we all love. I feel like there’s not a lot to hate about this episode, mostly because it focuses a lot on Conrad and Belly getting their happy ending that we all wanted. But I guess I would’ve loved to see Steven, Taylor and Jeremiah’s ending as well. Either way, it’s a good end, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
