Is There a Possibility of The Origin Madam Koi Koi Season 2? All That We Want to See in a Potential Sequel

Expecting The Origin Madam Koi Koi Season 2 wouldn’t be wrong, given the exceptional performance delivered by the cast in the first season. It also left viewers with a few unanswered questions they hope to see addressed in the next season. The incredible cast includes Martha Ehinome as Amanda, Jude Chukwuka as Baba Fawole, Iretiola Doyle as Mother Superior, Nene Nwanyo as Edna, Chuks Joseph as Lashe, Kevin T. Solomon as Tokunbo, Temidayo Akinboro as Kayode, Ejiro Onojaife as Ibukun, Tolulope Odebunmi as Ige, Iremide Adeoye as Idowu, among others. This Nigerian horror series is written and directed by Jay Franklyn Jituboh, along with Boladale Falola. It has 2 episodes, each with a runtime of 100 minutes, respectively.

The story centres on a renowned boarding school, where a fresh face named Amanda enrols. As she settles into her new environment, she undergoes unsettling dreams that seem connected to a sinister supernatural force harbouring sinister and aggressive motives. Simultaneously, the narrative unveils the mysteries surrounding the puzzling demises of three people in a nearby town. It becomes evident that a malevolent presence, dormant for an extended period, has suddenly stirred and is resolute on exacting horrifying vengeance on the unsuspecting local populace in a horrifying and nightmarish fashion.

The Origin Madam Koi Koi Season 2 Still 1

Will There Be The Origin Madam Koi Koi Season 2?

Well, if you’re wondering whether there might be a second season of the show, I think it’s possible, given how it ended. The first season concluded with Rosemary sparing the life of Amanda, as Sister Ruth convinced her that she was innocent and shouldn’t be punished for her father’s actions. Rosemary then left again for the woods from where she came, but it was not confirmed that she would not kill anyone again.

In the end, Baba is talking to his friend who helped him with the sacrificial ritual and asks him what he thinks: will the spirit come back? His friend answered that, of course, it will return, not necessarily in the same town, but it will surely come back as it still resides on this plane and cannot leave. It is still here, and when people do evil, she will return.

As of now, Netflix has not confirmed a second season for the Nollywood series. This isn’t unexpected, considering the first season was just completed. Netflix typically takes time before making decisions to renew or cancel their new shows. If Netflix chooses to continue the series, the writers could introduce new characters and explore how humans can be more evil. When they do wrong, the spirit awakens again. Additionally, Amanda was the daughter of one of Rosemary’s assailants. More men are still alive, so perhaps she would try to find them and seek revenge, or even follow their bloodline to track down their descendants
