The Morning Show Season 3 Episode 2 Recap/Review Contains Spoilers

In The Morning Show Season 3 Episode 2, Bradley, Cory and Paul reconnect again with people on Earth and show the world the space view. So, that panic was just to end the episode with some tension. Alex will have to do TMS 5 weeks a day as the Network can’t trust her anymore, after she betrayed them and didn’t go to the space. She is not pleased to hear this news.

Once people from the space are back, things become extremely chaotic for everyone. Suddenly, there are glitches, and the newsroom loses its connection to the system. We learn that some hackers have gotten into the network’s system.

These hackers want to extort money, so they send Cory a video of Bradley and her ex-lover, Laura. The hacker demands 50 million dollars if Cory doesn’t want the video to be made public. Cory informs the same to Bradley, who’s taken aback and worried. She requests Cory to pay the money, but Cybil refuses. She is unaware of what the hacker has threatened and doesn’t want to give in to anyone’s pressure/threat.

He initially believes Paul has hacked into their system, but that’s not the case.

The employees are worried as the hacker also accesses their phones connected to the office WiFi. No one knows what the hacker will release to the public. The episode has a weird ending, with the makers hardly telling us who is pulling these strings.

The Morning Show Season 3 Episode 2 Review: Discussion

The Morning Show Season 3 Episode 2 had too much confusion, like the chaotic premise of the series. What started off as a profound newsroom show with season 1 has now become a silly soap drama where anything random happens to the employees. The plot twists don’t usually have any solid underlying message. The characters are not contributing anything compelling to the messy premise and have become one-dimensional.

Just like in season 2, Alex is still freaking out constantly. Bradley has been a sane character so far, but it looks like even her plot is going to be messed up soon, with her personal life getting mired in the newsroom drama. Cory used to be such a remarkable and grey character. But he looks like someone who lost his grip on everything.

The Morning Show Season 3 Episode 2 Review: Final Thoughts

The plot is going haywire, and the way the episode ends, it seems the show will focus more on the cyberattack angle. It wasn’t an interesting episode, and the fast pace didn’t help to induce any suspense. But if it is just the beginning of the suspense that’s going to unravel itself, we hope the execution is better, and there’s some story amidst all the commotion.

The second episode is now streaming on Apple TV+.

  1. This is episode made no sense! The hacker somehow got into the computers, wireless AND the electrical? There aren’t backup generators or clear security protocols at a company so big? This massive company doesn’t have $25 mil? There’s no way! And even if you can get past that, WHY ARE THEY STILL IN THE BUILDING AND USING THE PHONES AS THE EPISODE GOES ON??? This sh*t jumped the shark.
