In The Last of Us Episode 5, we can expect Joel and Ellie to get hunted by the clickers as well as the rogue vigilantes in between their Wyoming journey. When is The Last of Us Episode 5 Releasing?
The fans of The Last of Us can rejoice in faith as the upcoming instalment of the series will drop a little earlier than expected. Notably, due to the clash with the sporting event Super Bowl, The Last of Us Episode 5 will now release on Friday at 9 pm ET instead of Sunday at 9 pm ET. Which roughly translates to 8:30 am IST on Saturday and Monday respectively.
In the latest instalment, the fans witnessed some grippy action and hand-to-hand combat between the vigilantes and Joel. Moreover, the episode also focuses on Ellie’s first assist to kill Joel, as she saves him from the clutches of the enemy.
Kathleen (played by Melanie Lynskey) makes an appearance in the episode in the form of a ruthless leader of the so-called revolutionary movement in the post-pandemic times. Furthermore, her character is shown to have a deep-rooted feeling of vengeance against a particular individual, who is on the run from the group.
In the end, the episode ended on a sharp cliffhanger after Joel and Ellie woke up from their sleep, only to find themselves surrounded by two gunmen. Thereby creating enough intrigue for the upcoming episode.

The preview of the upcoming episode focuses on the vigilantes trying to nail down Joel and Ellie, as well as their most wanted individual. The episode also depicts the cynical Kathleen going against all odds to exact her revenge, even if it means putting her entire group at risk.
Moreover, the fans of the show can expect some massive clicker action in the form of a haunting zombie-like figure shown in the preview. And even though we only get a glimpse of the clicker, it’s pretty clear that this one is nothing similar to the previous zombies.
