The Idol Episode 3 Ending Explained

In the last 20 minutes of The Idol Episode 3, things turn heavy and emotional. Jocelyn, Leia, Xander, Tedros and his friends (or, cult members, we do not know at this point) are at Joss’ house, at the dinner table, having a nice time. Some heartfelt words are exchanged and some ‘music’ related topics are discussed, such as how Xander thinks Jocelyn’s cum-face picture should be her album cover. Clearly, the conversation is hurtful and triggering for Joss and, Tedros pushes it more.

It comes to a point where Tedros asks Joss to share about her dead mother. It is uncomfortable and Joss mentions how she does not want to share in front of everyone. However, Tedros ends up making her feel safe and our idol finally gives in. Jocelyn shares how her mother used to hit her with a hairbrush in order to correct her and motivate her. While this continued for years, no one stood up for her, not even Xander. Jocelyn tries to justify Xander’s actions and says that no one knew what was the right thing to do.

However, Tedros does not stop there. He pushes Jocelyn until she breaks down. And as cruelly as ever, he ends up asking if she misses the motivation her mother’s abuse gave her to which Jocelyn nods. He insists on turning this trauma into inspiration and says, “You’ve still got that hairbrush? Go get it.”

The Idol Episode 3 ends with a catharsis like cinematography where we see Tedros hit Joss. We would badly because she ends up crying and hurt while he kisses her. The after the entire traumatic process, the two end up in a bath where Tedros bathes a traumatized Jocelyn, who looks nothing less than a wounded and defeated kitten. At the end, she looks at Tedros and thanks him for taking care of her.
