As the finale week approaches, episode 10 has just revealed who the boss of all bosses is. We first learn about Man-hee and Gyeongae’s romance, only to find how vile they both truly are. But someone that we least expected turns out to be the worst of all in this whole series. Will Tae-ju manage to save himself and his wife? Well, he better.

The Husband Episode 10 Review
Disturbing Romance
The opening flashback is easily the episode’s strongest and the most disturbing one. I have no idea whether the director tried to humanise the psycho couples because what even?
Man-hee wasn’t a monster from the beginning; rather, he was a lonely man, surviving on little food, socially awkward and completely detached. His quiet life changes when his cheerful neighbour, Gyeongae, casually introduces herself and slowly draws him out of his shell in just one night. Note it: in just one single night, hardly in 5 hours.
Their early interactions are unexpectedly wholesome. Gyeongae teasing his awkward, shy behaviour, inviting him to her salon, and sharing a fish-shaped cake only for him to grab it and run away from her. Well, it was a cute scene. It almost feels like the beginning of a romantic comedy, until midnight.
When Man-hee witnesses Gyeongae being assaulted by a violent man demanding money, his protective instincts take over. What starts as a way to save her ends up triggering the evil in Man-hee as he takes the hammer and brutally bashes the man. He kills him, and Gyeongae embraces Man-hee. They both bury the body; she takes Man-hee to her salon that same night and trims his hair, kisses him the same night and hugs him.
From that moment onward, the episode makes it painfully clear that these two lonely souls didn’t simply fall in love; they were just two psychopaths who found solace.
Present-Day Tensions
Returning to the present, the drama wastes little time.
Man-hee finally catches up to Se-yun inside the hospital, but Tae-ju arrives just in time to save her. The cat-and-mouse chase begins between Tae-ju and Man-hee. As they both catch up to each other, Man-hee admits that Se-yun was never his real target. His true objective was always Tae-ju.
That revelation completely shakes the narrative. So somebody from the hospital manipulated Man-hee and Gyeongae to finish off Tae-ju but also use Se-yun to torture her. Who does that? Definitely not Dr Ko but someone much worse. Could it be Myung-hee?
The Medical Conspiracy Grows Darker
Their conversation opens up way too many truths for both the guys to process. Tae-ju reveals to Man-hee the real reason behind Gyeongae being rejected in the past for the surgery. He tells Man-hee that Dr Ha was assigned to kill Gyeongae. This makes Man-hee pissed, and he adds that Myung-hee is the so-called saviour.
Tae-ju is baffled to learn that Myung-hee was in touch with Man-hee and Gyeongae, meaning she knows the bigger picture. The next day, as Myung-hee plans to escape, Man-hee catches up to her.
Emotional Healing for Tae-ju and Se-yun
Finally, the two share a hug. Tae-ju finally tells Se-yun the painful truth surrounding their daughter’s death. Tae-ju didn’t actually miss out on Ha-yun’s surgery out of his own will, but he was forced by Dr Ko to save an important VIP patient while his Ha-yun was dying. That crazy greedy man.
Se-yun breaks down after learning that Tae-ju carried the burden, as he didn’t want her to hate her father, also after losing their daughter. She hugs him and breaks down, finally letting go of all the guilt and grief.
A Villain Hiding in Plain Sight
Just when we thought Dr Ko, Myung-hee and Dr Ha were the true criminals, a big shock arrives.
As Man-hee confronts someone he believes manipulated both him and Gyeongae, the audience discovers that the “someone” is none other than Chi-ung. The man who pretended to be the sweetest doctor, who often helped Tae-ju and also worked hard for the hospital.
Instead of appearing frightened, Chi-ung smiles so vilely. His sinister grin strongly suggests he has been orchestrating events from behind the scenes. It’s a brilliantly executed cliffhanger that raises so many questions as we head for the finale week.
Final Thoughts
Episode 10 really dropped the bomb with Chi-ung coming into the play. From showing the origin of Man-hee and Gyeongae’s romance, which was creepy, to finally making Tae-ju and Se-yun patch up, this episode gave a good balance of horror and healing.
The shocking final reveal completely reshapes the mystery, proving that the true villain may have been hiding in plain sight all along. We’ve entered the final stretch of the series, and all that is left is justice to be served.
