The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses Episode 3 Review: Navigating the Inevitable Challenges Ahead

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses Episode 3 premiered on July 18, 2023. Also known as Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta (好きな子がめがねを忘れた) is based on the Japanese manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Koume Fujichika. Directed by Susumu Kudo and Katsumasa Yokomine, the series is animated under GoHands Studios. Tamazo Yanagi writes the story, and Jimmy Thumb P gives the music for the series.

The plot of the romance anime follows a flimsy high school boy named Komura who has a deep and prolonged crush on his classmate, Ai Mie. The two have never talked before, even though they sit next to each other in class. However, things soon start to change after Ai forgets to wear her glasses to school and starts relying on Komura for school activities.

The opening theme song, Name, is performed by Tsuzuri and the ending theme song, Megane Go Round, is performed by Masayoshi Ōishi along with Masahiro Itō and Shion Wakayama. The series is scheduled to run for a total of 13 episodes and has an estimated duration of 20-25 minutes. Licensed by Crunchyroll, the show is available with official English subtitles on the platform available in selected regions.

The third episode of the show is equally beautiful to look at as the first. In every frame, without fail, animators have maintained the detailed character design. The characters are depicted in great detail from every angle, giving the reader a crisp picture. Also, the scenic beauty that is featured throughout the episode improves the viewing experience and enables the audience to enjoy the charming moments fully.

The story hasn’t advanced significantly in terms of the plot. Through the circumstances, the characters are slowly but surely getting to know one another. Komura is always by Ai’s side to assist her as she frequently forgets to put on her spectacles. His affection for him grows deeper as he feels compelled to do all it takes to keep her safe in any circumstance.

Ai initially gave Komura the impression that she was a flawless person who was incapable of doing anything wrong. But after getting to know her better personally, he no longer holds her in high regard and instead sees her more as a fellow human being. Although he is aware of her flaws and failings, he never condemns her for them. Instead, he finds her antics amusing and it made no difference to how he felt.

Before forgetting her glasses to class, Ai entirely ignored him even though they used to sit next to each other. Yet after talking to Komura informally, she has also developed a soft place for him. He has since proven to be the person she can depend on the most in her life and call on at any time of the day.

There are some moments that will undoubtedly make you feel good. The incidents are able to touch viewers’ hearts, instantly inspiring them to support the couple’s union. Even while the show moves at a sluggish pace, it does so consistently and paints a complete picture of how the relationship will progress.

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses Episode 3 Review: Final Thoughts

The most recent episode keeps creating a lovely romantic universe. The couple’s cute and endearing interactions are soothing and consoling. The characters will be very relatable to the viewers, nevertheless. The viewers will be able to relate to the show’s true portrayal of awkwardness, struggle, and the sense of being noticed. The animation is good and elevates storytelling even without considering the plot, providing a cinematic experience.
