The Essex Serpent Season 2: Will Tom Hiddleston’s Apple TV+ Show Get Renewed?

It has been a week since The Essex Serpent on Apple TV+ ended. Directed by Clie Barnard, the show stars Tom Hiddleston as Vicar Will Ransome, Claire Danes as Cora Seaborne, Frank Dillane as Doctor Luke Garrett, Clémence Poésy as Stella Ransome, Hayley Squires as Martha, Jamael Westman as Dr George Spencer, Lily-Rose Aslandodgu as Naomi.

The series had 6 long episodes that were released on the digital platform every Friday. On June 10, the final episode was released and concluded the plot. The makers gave us answers about the flying serpent and showed us what happens to Will and Cora in the end. So the question now remains is – Will there be a season 2?

Will The Essex Serpent Season 2 Happen?

If you are hoping that there’s another season of the Tom Hiddleston starrer, we have sad news. The show won’t return for a new season as it was always planned as a mini-series. The makers have revealed the truth about the flying serpent, which was actually a giant whale. Will and Cora reunite months later in the end after Will’s wife Stella passes away.

The show was based on Sarah Perry’s book of the same name. The conclusion of the show is also where the book left off. A new season can happen only if the makers decide to take the plot ahead. However, director Clio Barnard has not shared any such idea yet. The chances of that happening are very less.
