The Case Study Of Vanitas Season 2 Episode 7 Review- All Is Well That Ends Well

This season really needed a break. It needed a break from all the extremely complicated worldbuilding of the first season that bled into the second. It also needed a break from the confusingly aligned characters that dominated the entirety of this season alongside the new characters that came into existence a short while ago. But most of all, it needed a break from this nest it had weaved itself into, which was heavy and hard to get out of.

We have made no secrets of the fact that this season has been a rough one so far, but that was just a singular arc that ran for the length of seven episodes. That doesn’t say anything about the quality of the later episodes, and they can still be either good or bad depending on what the show decides to treat us with. However, if this entire arc did one thing well, it was this episode that we are talking about right now. This was a phenomenal ending to this arc, even if the rest of it didn’t live up to the expectations.

It rounded up all the little tidbits and the major plotlines, which was no mean feat considering the sheer amount of plotlines and thread all over the place. The arcs of Chloe, Jean, Noe, Jean-Jacques, Astolfo, and Vanitas were brought to an end swiftly and satisfyingly, which was lovely to see. While the show did make the arcs needlessly complicated, seeing a good conclusion washed some of those complaints away. They say that all is well that ends well, and that surely applies here.

The animation is usually great, but it was on another level in The Case Study Of Vanitas Season 2 Episode 7. there were a ton of beautiful environments alongside beautiful character sketches that made their designs look even better than they initially looked. The flowers, the dream sequences, the meetings and moments all looked astounding. Once you looked past what came before, the stunning visuals were enough to captivate you and pull you into the moment, which was sweet.

The moments of tenderness and love in this episode were also great, and they moved forward the plot in their unique ways. Vanitas and Jeanne is an adorable couple, while Jean-Jacques and Chloe come across as people who need each other to stay alive. The show has quite a few romantic storylines, and it handles them all with grace, alongside a ton of physical and animated comedy. The show shines when it isn’t taking itself too seriously and is just a silly vampire show with some lore. This episode gave us a lot of that and was all the better for it.
Verdict
The Case Study Of Vanitas Season 2 Episode 7 was the show’s best episode so far. It was emotional, funny, and ended a lot of stories satisfyingly. What more can anyone ask from a show?
