The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 15 and 16 Review: Betrayal and Death

The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 15 and The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 16 are now out on Disney+ Hotstar. They’re titled as ‘The Summit’ and ‘Plan 99’. They are directed by Nathaniel Villanueva and Steward Lee. The Star Wars animated series is created by Dave Filoni and features Dee Bradley Baker as the Clone Force 99 and Michelle Ang as Omega.

The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 15 and 16 Recap in Short

In the last two episodes, Tech, Wrecker, Hunter, Omega and Echo decide to go to the secret Science Division at Eraidu to understand what message Crosshair is trying to give them. However, they have to fight the big stormtrooper army when they reach. During their attempt, Tech sacrifices himself to save his friends.

Several Imperial officers have an intense discussion about Dr Hemlock’s project. They discuss how the clones will not be pleased and might fight back if the project happens. But we are not told precisely what plans they have. It is understood that they’re trying to build something that will help them get rid of the clones or maybe it’s something more dangerous.

Hunter decides that the mission is not good for them. He consoles a heartbroken Omega and tells her they will return to Pabu and leave the soldier’s life behind. While Echo waits for their update, Hunter, Wrecker, and Omega meet Cid for the last time. However, Cid betrays them by telling Doctor Hemlock about their whereabouts.

The good thing is Hunter helps Omega escape before Hemlock can catch her. He orders the troopers to take them to Eraidu and find Omega. But Hemlock finds Omega and captures her. Hunter and Wrecker fight the droid army and the troopers and escape. Sadly, Hemlock and his imperial force take an unconscious Omega somewhere in their shuttle.

At the end of the episode, Hunter and Wrecker meet Echo on their ship. Echo tells them that he couldn’t find out where Hemlock took Omega. Hemlock takes Omega to his lab, where he warns Nala Se to help him in the Empire’s project. If she refuses, Omega will suffer the consequences. When Omega is taken inside, she sees Crosshair lying on a bed.

Emerie meets Omega and tells her that Crosshair is recovering as he refuses to cooperate with Hemlock. Emerie makes a big reveal to Omega that they both are sisters.

The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 15 and 16 Review: Discussion

The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 15 and 16 had good intense action sequences, twists and a cliffhanger ending. Tech, who has been such a pivotal part of season 2, is dead, and it’s just so hard to digest. But the last two episodes don’t compensate for the underwhelming season 2. The entire season is stretched, but we have yet to be given a complete idea of exactly what the Empire and Hemlock plan will do with the clones.

The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 15 and 16 Still 2

I hoped we would find out Hemlock’s true and cruel intentions with the clones. But all we know is it will make the clones furious. I wish rather than just vague discussions; we were given clear answers. The season had many filler episodes that didn’t bring much to the premise.

The cliffhanger proves that The Bad Batch Season 3 is happening for sure. But one can only hope the new season brings a solid storyline and doesn’t beat around the bush.

The Bad Batch Season 2 Finale episodes are now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
