Taskaree Ending Explained
The series opens with honest customs officer Prakash Kumar being appointed to stop smuggling at the Mumbai airport, and he immediately creates a team with a bunch of honest officers, including Superintendent Arjun Meena, who had all been suspended. With Mitali and Ravinder in tow, the team is given the job of taking down the Bada Choudhary syndicate that single-handedly smuggles millions of goods through customs.
The team slowly starts to crack down on the syndicate’s inner network using their informers in the syndicate. One of them is Arjun’s informant Priya, who, after helping the team take down a huge consignment, goes into hiding. Meanwhile, Ravinder’s informant remains elusive as he refuses to give away the name. Eventually, Bada Choudhary decides to take matters into his own hands when those above him ask for payback and threaten the officers, while trying to buy Prakash out. Both plans fail as the officers remain incorruptible.

As a direct result, Choudhary has Ravinder murdered to send a message, but it doesn’t stop the team from working on. Meanwhile, Arjun catches another trusted member of being untruthful while two members of the smuggling racket die under mysterious circumstances, one during a customs raid and another in customs jail.
Who was Ravinder’s informant?

In a surprising twist, we learn that Ravinder’s informant is none other than Srikant Saxena, who has been getting all of his information from Suresh in Choudhary’s team. Suresh was once caught by Srikant years ago and has been working for him since then, after the latter let him go instead of taking him to jail for smuggling for Anna.

In a shocking twist, audiences realise that Prakash had, in fact, made a deal with Choudhary in Bangkok to make money. Everything that he has done to date has been to win everyone’s trust and increase his foothold in front of Choudhary. Now that he has his attention, he can make any demand, and Choudhary will have no other choice but to bow down to his whims.
Is Arjun able to take Choudhary down?
Things come to a head when Choudhary tries to get one over Arjun by changing up a huge consignment of smuggled gold using caskets. However, when Arjun goes through the consignments, he realises that there is nothing there. Confused but sure that the news from Ravider’s informant is solid, he realises that the consignment has been routed through other means and rushes to stop it from passing.

At the site, he runs into Prakash and realises that the one person he trusted to have his back is actually corrupt and eventually breaks open the consignment to reveal the gold bars. In the end, thanks to Priya’s bravery and a few remaining officers, Choudhary and his entire syndicate are arrested, and Prakash’s corruption is exposed. Meanwhile, Arjun and his team continue to do honest work and fight against corruption.
