Synchro U: SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, aespa’s Karina and Others Confirmed to Return for New Season

Exciting news for fans of the popular music variety show Synchro U! KBS has officially announced the return of all original cast members, including aespa’s Karina, Lee Juck, Lee Yong-jin, and SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi. However, the participation of BTOB’s Yook Sungjae is still under negotiation as he adjusts his schedule.

Synchro U, which initially aired two pilot episodes in May, quickly captured viewers’ attention with its unique concept. The show, centred around MC Yoo Jae-suk, challenges its cast to discern top artists performing cover stages from AI-generated vocals, boasting a 99 percent synchronization rate. This innovative approach to music entertainment has set Synchro U apart, making it a must-watch for fans of both live performances and cutting-edge technology.

The confirmation of the original cast’s return has generated a buzz among viewers. Karina of aespa, known for her powerful stage presence and vocal prowess, along with SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, whose dynamic performances never fail to impress, are set to bring their unique talents back to the show. Comedian Lee Yong-jin and singer-songwriter Lee Juck will also reprise their roles, adding their own flavours of humour and musical expertise.

The potential return of Yook Sungjae remains a topic of anticipation. As a member of BTOB and a well-loved actor, his participation would further enhance the show’s appeal. According to KBS, discussions are ongoing, and fans are hopeful for a positive outcome.

Synchro U is set to return as a regular program in the second half of the year, promising to deliver even more thrilling episodes. With its blend of live talent and AI technology, the show not only entertains but also pushes the boundaries of what music variety shows can achieve. The return of the original cast members ensures that the upcoming episodes will maintain the same level of excitement and intrigue that captivated audiences during the pilot episodes.
