Just in time for the promotions of his latest comeback, SHINee’s Taemin came onboard BTS Suga’s web talk show on Suchwita Episode 20 (슈취타). Surprisingly, as the two fellow ’93 liner K-pop idols were off striking a new friendship with each other while sharing drinks, another special guest, i.e. a mutual friend between them also joined them. From featuring the unlikely yet loveable duo’s new-found bonding session to speaking on the importance of solo albums and whatnot, the new episode of the recreational variety series sparks our interest in Suga and Taemin’s interesting shared dynamic.
Half way into the episode with a runtime of 36 minutes, the duo was joined by the mutual link – Jimin. As a member of BTS and one of Taemin’s best friends in the industry, he jumped into the discussion seamlessly, but obviously played his part in leaving his like-minded friend astounded once he walked in.

Suga also made it a point to address their shared similarities, which then Taemin agreed to and also mentioned how they both led with a gender-neutral approach and a sense of fluidity while working on music. Fans of both artists have often noted the same characteristics and artistic tendencies in their refined and graceful performances and song choreographies.
Though the Suchwita Taemin episode delves into his latest mini album Guilty (released on October 30 itself) and his workings as a solo artist, it also pays grave attention to the significance of teamwork and how precious it is to be a member of a team at large, thus being part of a unit bigger than yourself.
Suga, too, adds to this conversation by mentioning how his heart feels at ease when he steps on the stage as one of the seven members of BTS, which can never be possible when he has to lead by example as a soloist and fill in all the gaps by himself.
