-Succession Season 4 Episode 6 Recap Does Contain Spoilers-
The latest instalment of the media-mogul family drama starts with an unexpected cameo from Logan Roy, who ends up revealing the grand and much-awaited WayStar Royco plan (through a pre-recorded speech). Logan, during his term, worked on the idea of Living+, which would not only provide a boost to their park and real estate network but might have also led to significant growth in the business. Now, after the departure of Big Roy, it’s time for Kendall and Roman, to really step up in the legacy game.
As usual, Kendall plans an overhyped strategy with a gleam in his eyes and tries to rack up the numbers. In the customary board meeting, he further takes up the issue of Lukas Matsson and his unpredictable nature, in order to gaslight the deal. He also receives the required support from Roman, who backs up the made-up claims of his brother.

However, the board neglects their concern and passes them off as the “metrics of a genius”. Furthermore, Shiv confronts her brothers (after confiding secretly with Matsson) and asks them to limit their evil Knievel strategy. The move works, (maybe only for a brief period of time) and helps the trio to reconcile emotionally.
The boss lady, Shiv, breaks down right after filling this emotional gap. And further gets consoled by Tom Wambsgans, who offers comfort to her soon-to-be ex-wife. The entire episode offers a back-and-forth look at their relationship, while the duo looks beyond the usual discrepancies.

The twist in the episode arrives when Roman backs out of the presentation, and fears Kendall might spoil the soup. The younger Roy also goes on a firing spree and eliminates everyone who questions his incompetence over Logan (including Gerri). Kendall, on the other hand, decides to go solo and complete the speech anyway.
As it turns out, Kendall shocks everyone with the speech and leaves no room for mediocrity. Even though he starts on shaky ground, the eldest Roy reassures everyone about the idea and doubles down on the numbers. The entire thing feels like a small victory, which not only solidifies his position but also upsets Matsson. In the end, Roman leaves the place with total frustration, while Kendall dives into the winning mode (literally).
Succession Season 4 Episode 6 Review

The entire instalment feels like a Kendall Roy saga, with the march of a new era in the Roy kingdom. It’s a proper coming of age for Kendall, who has finally received his moment of recognition. Throughout the series, nobody really believed in him and probably understated his ideas and arguments. For instance, his reputation for sabotaging stuff arrived before anything else. However, this time around, Kendall seems to be finally living the dream.
Roman seems to have transformed into a power-hungry maniac. With the only intention of rising above Logan’s shadow, and turning the vote of confidence in his favour. The young Roy will definitely regret his decision to not back Kendall and might have to face some repercussions for the same.
As far as Shiv is concerned, she is a complete emotional wreck. The news about her upcoming pregnancy hasn’t broken out yet, and the grief inside her remains unsettled. The expected reunion with Tom might help the cause but the wounds are far too deep to heal.
