Succession Season 3 Finale: Will All Be Revealed in Episode 9?

Succession Season 3 has been a rollercoaster ride, keeping us guessing all the while. The Emmy award-winning satirical Black Comedy created by Jesse Armstrong is nearing its finale and audiences are pretty confused about where the characters stand. Succession Season 3 Episode 9 titled ‘All the Bells Say’, will mark the end of this season and will be the first time the series is ending short of one episode as both the previous season had ten episodes each. However, given how little time Logan Roy has at hand, ending the series a tad bit early might just create a real-life effect to that feeling.

The cast has, like always, delivered a stellar performance so far. We have seen the dysfunctional Roy family, which consists of Brian Cox as Logan Roy, Jeremy Strong as Kendall, Kieran Culkin as Roman, Sarah Snook as Shiv and Alan Ruck as Connor, act out and throw daggers at each other making their inter-personal relationship grow more complicated than ever. Matthew Macfadyen as Tom Wambsgans and Nicholas Braun as Greg Hirsch were more than just a ‘benign fungus’ this season, even though it felt like that sometimes.

Succession Season 3 Episode 8 saw Roman be the golden boy by cracking a deal with Alexander Skarsgård’s Lukas Matsson but, it all comes to a pause when a wrong contact receives an unintended text. Shiv is clearly not in love with Tom and, now has said it out loud too. As for Kendall, his drunken floating episode end did not look promising. Here are some predictions about how Succession Season 3 finale can go.

Succession Season 3 Finale: What Happens Next?

Roman has ruined it all. Again.

Roman Roy has always been a notorious character to rely on. He has vision but, he is an asshole which basically ruins everything. It is only because Shiv and Logan cannot resolve their issues and Kendall is, of course, out of the question to lead the company, Logan Roy has eventually turned to him. And, he really impresses us with the merger of equals deal with Matsson. But, being an asshole, Roman has to ruin it all, right?

Moments later, he sends an obscene picture to Gerri, which accidentally lands in Logan’s message box. Now, looks like the golden boy does not seem so golden to Logan anymore In the next episode, we can expect a typical brash confrontation from Logan Roy. And, if Gerri has reported Roman to HR (under Shiv’s influence), then well, we know Kendall won’t be the only black sheep in the house.

Did we just watch Kendall die?

The end of Succession Season 3 Episode 8 was downright sad, but was that Kendall dying? We know that Kendall is depressed. With a birthday party that wasn’t exactly happy and the $2 billion buyout deal thrown out of the window by Logan, we might have just seen the character reach his breaking point. Additionally, we do not see him in Succession Season 3 Episode 9 promo.

Tom should leave Shiv, man!

As much as Shiv is a character you might like, it is important to understand how toxic Tom and Shiv’s relationship has become. The last episode saw Shiv confess out loud that she isn’t in love with Tom. And, even though she passed it off as roleplaying, Tom needs to open his blindfolds and see what their relationship has become.

Succession Season 3 has witnessed Tom being punched in the gut from all sides and if he actually wants to get a stable life, he should immediately divorce Shiv Roy!

Is this the end of Waystar RoyCo?

Luke Matsson confronts Logan Roy right on in the Succession Season 3 Episode 9 promo saying, ‘You are sinking like a lead balloon.’ And, unfortunately, he is right. The shareholders meeting did not go well and Sandy and Stwey are more enemies than friends at this point. So, will Logan Roy beef up or sell out?

We think it is not yet time for Succession to end. It is a family thing and no matter how hurt and tired Logan is letting go of Waystar RoyCo, which might the only child he has that has given him more than taken away from him, it seems unlikely.
