Star Wars: Chloé Zhao Not Directing Kevin Feige’s Film Anymore?

‘Eternals’ director Chloé Zhao has achieved some major feat with her last project and so much so that it was rumoured that she might be the director for Kevin Feige’s Star Wars movie. Zhao had often expressed her interest in the franchise and she had even said on record how she’d be happy to do any project enlisted by President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige. Thus, the news of Zhao directing the movie in question really did kick off.

Moreover, the glory of ‘Eternals’ cannot be unseen as it continues to be a more cinematic turn to the action led Marvel films. And, even though the film continues to receive mixed reviews, it isn’t wrong to say that the filmmaker’s iconic tribute to scenic beauty through cinematography holds the film together.

However, new reports by The Hollywood Reporter claims that the ‘Nomadland’ director is no longer going to direct Feige’s Star Wars film or any other film within the franchise. This counters the reports by One Take News and Cinelinx from last week which expressed Zhao enthusiasm and involvement.

Chloé Zhao was noted sharing with The Playlist, “I would, I’ll do anything Kevin asked me to do.” She also revealed to Al Horner earlier this year: “Hmmmm. I have to tread very carefully with what I say here. Yes. Let’s just say, it’s a world I have so much reverence for because it was such an important part of my life.”

Well, if the reports are true, we are yet to know more about the upcoming project by Kevin Feige as he has been hesitant and dodged the questions related to this project. Feige said at the ‘Black Widow’ premiere: “I’m so hesitant to talk about it, that I’m not going to talk about it today. But I do love Star Wars”

Meanwhile, fans are prepped up to soon be able to see Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars: The Mandalorian, and Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett on Disney+ Hotstar soon.
