The article contains spoilers from Spider-Man: No Way Home that released last week. If you haven’t watched the film, it’s best not to scroll further. Even Tom Hardy has been very careful about what he posts a few days after the MCU film was released. The actor, known for playing Venom, has reacted to Jacob Batalon’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage reference.
Well, for the No Way Home premier, actor Jacob Batalon, who plays Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) best friend Ned, wore a bright red Hawaiian shirt. The shirt resembles the one Venom: Let There Be Carnage villain Cletus Kasady aka Woody Harrelson wears. Fans quickly noticed the reference, and now Tom has reacted to it too.
On his Instagram page, Tom Hardy shared Jacob’s pic from the red carpet of the premier. He congratulated No Way Home for its massive success and used multiple emojis to react to the actor’s outfit. The Venom 2 actor wrote, “Congratulations NWH ????????❤️???? ????Cletus Shirt nod”. Tom Holland has liked Hardy’s post.
Among the secret appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Hardy is the only one that has shared something on social media. In the mid-credits scene, we see his character Eddie Brock and the symbiote talking to a bartender about Thanos, Iron Man and Spidey. However, Eddie is transported back to his universe after Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) fixes the multiversal mess. The credits scene ends with a big tease of the next trouble for Peter Parker.
