Solo Leveling Opening Theme: K-pop Group TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s Participation for Anime OST Teased

On November 1, 2023, alongside the teaser for the highly anticipated anime’s release, a new update has reignited our interest in the series as the Solo Leveling opening theme has just been announced as a collaborative creation between Hiroyuki Sawano and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT). All 5 members of the Big Hit Music K-pop group have participated in the making of this anime soundtrack.

Titled Level, the TOMORROW X TOGETHER anime OST has already been teased ahead of the Solo Leveling anime’s world premiere event slated for December 2023. The series, however, will be going on air for audiences in January 2024. The two-day special premiere event coming ahead will be held in Tokyo and Seoul on December 10, and in Los Angeles on December 14. Early screenings of the first two episodes of the series will be exclusively released at these locations next month, before the show is made available for audiences on Crunchyroll.

Produced by Crunchyroll and A-1 Pictures, the action-packed journey of this webcomic adaptation has now been shifted from Korea to Japan. Solo Leveling anime found its source material in the South Korean web novel written by Chugong and illustrated by the late Dubu, and its story pens down the image of an alternate fictional world wherein warriors with supernatural abilities have been enlisted to silence monsters mysteriously appearing all over the globe. Shunsuke Nakashige is directing the series with Noboru Kimura as the principal writer by his side.

Led by a rather unlikely protagonist, Sung Jin-woo, Solo Leveling‘s storyline finds in him a weak hunter, always on the edge and desperately racing forward for survival. Following a disastrous mission that somehow goes his way, he’s granted the sole ownership of a mysterious program (System) that picks him as its only player and grants him the rare ability to level up his strength. His endless intense adventures lead him to face off against villains of all kinds – both humans and monsters – while he climbs up the ladder to discovering the origins of his powers and the secrets of the dungeons.
