Park Bo-young is all set to make her return to the screen with her (정신병동에도 아침이 와요) Daily Dose of Sunshine cast members on November 3 and fans are eagerly anticipating seeing her again after her cameo in Strong Girl Nam-soon. Over time, she has consistently proven herself as one of the best actresses in the Korean industry. The series is based on a webtoon by Lee Ra-ha (title’s literal translation: Morning Comes to Psychiatric Wards Too). The show is directed by Lee Jae-kyoo, and stars Yeon Woo-jin, Jang Dong-yoon, Yoo In-soo and others.
The Netflix series revolves around Park Bo-young’s portrayal of Jung Da-eun, a character who undergoes significant personal and professional growth despite workplace challenges. Da-eun’s transition from internal medicine to the mental health department does not deter her dedication to her patients. Meanwhile, Yeon Woo-jin brings to life the character of Dong Go-geun, a proctologist with a distinctive personality who is inexplicably drawn to Da-eun’s genuine demeanour and actions.
The show’s primary goal is to offer emotional and mental solace, yet it prompts reflection on the absence of curtains in the psychiatric ward’s windows. Nurse Da-eun holds the key to explaining why this particular section of the ward consistently witnesses the earliest morning hours.
