When is Sleeping Dog Releasing? All About the German Psychological Thriller Series

Netflix adds more to their German roster with this new limited series, Sleeping Dog. While it sounds ominous, it is because the series is a psychological thriller focusing on an unreliable narrator. Stories with this kind of a plot are always interesting to see. It gives the incidents more layers, some biases that come into play later in the series and best of all, some sweet, sweet doubt and dilemma for the protagonist. This series is directed by Stephan Lacant and Francis Meletzky, while Christoph Darnstäd serves as the screenplay writer on the crew.

Günter Fenner, Henning Kamm, Sibylle Stellbrink and Ira Wysocki serve as producers on this six-episode series. Each episode is 55 minutes long in duration.

Sleeping Dog Plot/Synopsis

Following a sad and incredibly confused man known as Atlas, this series focuses on his work with the 49th, a police group that catches criminals, and how that affects his mental state. Everyone is surprised that he is back in the first place. We see snippets from the murder case he worked on, but most strikingly, there is a specific scene in court that has been catching his eye a lot more than anything else. According to Atlas, there was a mistake in the case. He remembers absolutely nothing from the case and not in the normal way, but in the scary way.

Even the head of the police department is keeping an eye on this group. She has assigned a group of her own cops as well.

However, there is one woman who is incredibly looking forward to finding out the truth. But the real question is, will he be able to make amends as a family man and come back to his profession with dignity? Find out by streaming the series when it releases.
