Shark Tank India Season 2 episode 26 and 27 premiered on Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television on February 6 and 7, 2023, respectively at 10PM IST. Payel Seth is the show’s creative director, while it’s been produced by Studio NEXT, with Ravikesh Vatsa as its writer. The show is now hosted by renowned comedian Rahul Dua, and is joined by six sharks, namely, Anupam Mittal Founder-CEO of Shaadi.com – People Group; Aman Gupta, Co-Founder-CMO of boAt; Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals; Vineeta Singh, Co-Founder-CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics; Peyush Bansal, Founder-CEO of Lenskart.com and Amit Jain, Co-Founder-CEO of CarDekho Group and InsuranceDekho.com.
Episode 26 saw pitches from a new-age gender-neutral fashion collection from ‘Gavin Paris’, an online hiring platform ‘Unstop’, and the herbal tea brand ‘Blue Tea’. While the first pitch received a lot of criticism from the Sharks as they couldn’t accept seeing one of the co-founders of the brand devalue his partner, the second one had Amit Jain deal out an offer of Rs. 5 crores to the founder of ‘Unstop’. However, the entrepreneur wanted to bring all the Sharks on board for his mission, so he declined the hefty amount in turn for a 4-Shark deal with Amit, Aman, Anupam and Namita. Aman also ended up supporting the ‘Blue Tea’ pitch despite the other Sharks moving out of it.
The latest episode, i.e. the 27th entry, on the other hand, saw Vineeta coming together with the health snacking company ‘Green Snack Co’. Additionally, other businesses like ‘Hobby India’ and it range of art and craft products, space-effective furniture from ‘Flhexible’ and the gaming production team ‘Upthrust’ also came out to make their business known. Peyush Bansal was again absent for these two episodes, and the viewers have had enough of it already. He sat out a few episodes last week as well, and since then the fans have been patiently waiting for him to come back.
Viewers of the show were definitely blown away by the ‘Unstop’ founder’s clarity, and later praised Vineeta for siding with the snack brand in the latter episode. in spite of that, the overall reactions of the audience have been on a decline for the show, as they believe the second season’s quality content to have taken a major dip as compared to the first one.
