Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible is a romance and comedy anime directed by Kazuomi Koga and based on a manga written by Nene Yukimori. The series is being animated by Studio Pine Jam and is also known as Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai Episode 6.
High school student Junta Shiraishi has a simple goal—to live a fulfilling youth. However, achieving this goal appears to be harder than expected, as everyone in his surroundings often fails to notice him due to his lack of presence. Shiraishi’s lack of presence is so severe that people think his seat in class is always empty and mistakenly assume that he often skips school. A weird rumour is spreading in class, claiming that those who successfully spot Shiraishi will be blessed with good fortune for the day.
So far, the only person who notices his existence is Nagisa Kubo, the girl seated next to him. Unfortunately for him, though, Kubo likes to tease him daily and often puts him into unprecedented and nerve-wracking situations. The more we learn about Nagisa and Shiraishi, the more likeable and well-written they seem. However, the show has a distinct lack of side characters other than the small appearances of the two leads’ siblings. The two of them have done a great job of carrying the show so far and have developed a lot because of the time afforded to them. However, the show risks becoming stale if it just tells stories of these two. Let’s see what it comes up with!

Junta’s usual lonely lunch is interrupted by Nagisa as they share their boxes together and marvel at how good the other has it. In a cafe, Nagisa admits to her friends about her interest in Shiraishi and admonishes them for not thinking much of him. Shiraishi wakes up early and decides to be the first one to class one day, but finds Kubo already there and spends some quality time with her. He then gives her the White Day chocolates he bought for the person who gave him the cookie and gets mixed signals from Nagisa.
