Shark Tank India 2 episode 4 and 5 premiered on Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television on January 5 and 6, 2023, respectively at 10PM IST. Payel Seth is the show’s creative director, while it’s been produced by Studio NEXT, with Ravikesh Vatsa as its writer. The show is now hosted by renowned comedian Rahul Dua, and is joined by six sharks, namely, Anupam Mittal Founder-CEO of Shaadi.com – People Group; Aman Gupta, Co-Founder-CMO of boAt; Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals; Vineeta Singh, Co-Founder-CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics; Peyush Bansal, Founder-CEO of Lenskart.com and Amit Jain, Co-Founder-CEO of CarDekho Group and InsuranceDekho.com.

Fans of the first season may still be missing Ashneer Grover’s witty and snapping responses this year, but the business reality show is finally garnering some positive responses from the audience. The credit for the same has to go to the uplifting and enlightening realities shared by the entrepreneurs making their pitches loud and clear.
The fourth episode saw the coming in of businesses like ‘PatilKaki’, ‘Gear Head Motors’ and ‘Brandsdaddy AFE’, while fifth one welcomed ‘Winston’, ‘Flatheads’ and ‘Organic Smokes’. On both days, while some entrepreneurs stuck with an amusingly entertaining track to make their pitches be heard, others kept up with their authenticity and honesty, and conveyed the hearty messages to us.
‘Flatheads’ especially made a lot of heads turn, as its founder, Ganesh Balakrishnan, moved the sharks and the viewers with his genuine response of being stuck in his present situation. Admitting the truth of his brand nearing the runway, he not only gained words of advice from the shark on how to emerge out of the predicament, but also left behind a moral for us all to take home. Netizens rushed to Twitter to spread the word, hoping that his business is revived and how his words “enlightened and inspired a lot of people”. Moreover the business pitch by ‘Organic Heads’ was declared the “most entertaining pitch ever”.

Comparisons between Shark Tank India and Indian Idol aren’t dying out anytime soon either, but some positive tweets also remembered to juxtapose the personalities of Anupam Mittal from Shark Tank and MasterChef India’s Vikas Khanna, drawing out their “calm Soothing vibe”. Episode 4 also brought out Aman Gupta and Peyush Bansal’s inner Delhiite as they proceeded to call a Modak (Indian sweet) a Momo.
