MasterChef India Season 7 Episode 5 Reactions are coming in as soon as the show premiered tonight. Hosted by Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and joined by Garima Arora, the first-ever female chef to be a judge on the show, it is produced by Endemol Shine India and directed by Neeraj Shetty.
MasterChef India Season 7 Episode 5 is titled ‘Hindustan Ke Haatho Ka Swad’ and the synopsis reads as – MasterChef finds its top 36 home cooks who will be cooking in the MasterChef kitchen for the first time. Will they manage to impress the chefs?
The cooking competition show is a nationwide quest to find the best ‘home cook’ and draws out some of the most brilliant chefs from across India. The judges sample recipes from various cuisines that the contestants prepare in their search for India’s ‘MasterChef’. And after going through many challenges, one will win the grand prize and the titles.

In the latest episode of the show, the final 16 contestants have been selected after the cook-off challenge, in which they had to create a dish that truly represented them. We got to witness many amazing dishes being made in just a span of 60 minutes and we can certainly expect more innovative dishes to come out of the show.
So far, Urmila Baa has won everyone’s hearts with her cute personality and we are slowly getting to know other contestants and their strengths. Like in this episode, Deepa’s Sindhi dish was definitely a win along with Kamaljeet’s Indian and Korean dish fusion. But apart from it, viewers are not happy with the way the show is being presented.
Creators focus on personal stories and give screen time to only certain contestants, leaving others to be in the background only. They feel that it’s more like a drama than a cooking competition. However, with the coming challenges in the next week, we can hope for better screentime to all and learn about the culinary experience.
