Shadow and Bone: Will There Be a Third Season For Netflix’s Fantasy Drama?

Shadow and Bone Season 3 is on everyone’s minds right now. And, if it isn’t on yours, we are assuming the show hasn’t consumed you yet. Because, as we have learned from Bridgerton Season 2, for a lot of us, this show is clearly the bane of our existence and the object of all our desires!

We recently had Shadow and Bone Season 2 come out and the audience has gone berserk over the new season taking a darker and more complicated turn. The show is developed by Eric Heisserer and is based on the book series by Leigh Bardugo set in the Grishaverse. The series is produced by 21 Laps Entertainment, Chronology and Loom Studios and distributed by Netflix. The total number of episodes in this season is eight. The runtime of each episode is 40-60 minutes.

The main cast of the show includes Jessie Mei Li as Alina Starkov aka the Sun Summoner, Archie Renaux as Malyen Oretsev aka Mal, Freddy Carter as Kaz Brekker, Amita Suman as Inej Ghafa, Kit Young as Jesper Fahey, Ben Barnes as General Aleksander Kirigan aka The Darkling, Zoë Wanamaker as Baghra, Daisy Head as Genya Safin, Danielle Galligan as Nina Zenik and Calahan Skogman as Matthias reprising in their roles from season one. In Shadow and Bone Season 2, we have some new faces in the team too which includes Lewis Tan as Tolya Yul-Bataar, Patrick Gibson as Nikolai Lantsov, Anna Leong Brophy as Tamar Kir-Bataar and Jack Wolfe as Wylan Hendriks.

Will There Be Shadow and Bone Season 3?

The sad part is Netflix has not yet made an official announcement in regards to there being a third season. With that being said, it is unlikely the show will not return given the magical cliffhanger it gave us and the way the fanbase for Grishaverse keeps growing. A lot of fans are predicting that there might just be a spin-off show for the Crows due to how deeply engaging their storyline is and needs something aside from the Grishas.

We will give it another month or so for Netflix to make an official announcement on the matter.

Meanwhile, can watch Shadow and Bone Season 2 now streaming on Netflix.
