The group of heroes arrives in a new city, choosing to pause and recover before moving on to their next destination. While Xylo remains confined to his cell, others, like Dotta, spend their downtime drinking. To lift Xylo’s spirits, Teoritta brings him a game, hoping they can pass the time together. She also asks whether he plans to participate in the upcoming event involving the Holy Knights, but Xylo immediately refuses. The episode opens on a light note, especially when an unexpected side of Xylo is revealed.

He admits that he once dreamed of becoming a poet, a goal he abandoned long ago, leaving Teoritta genuinely stunned. Their quiet moment is interrupted when Kivia arrives with news about another mission. Instead of discussing it indoors, the trio decides to walk through the city while taking in its sights. The playful mood lingers briefly before turning serious as Kivia reveals hidden truths connected to Teoritta. She also thanks Xylo for saving her soldiers and protecting civilians in the past.

It is revealed that Teoritta’s presence was first discovered in the northern ruins, after which the Holy Knights were dispatched to control and make use of her abilities. However, tensions between the military and the church complicated matters, making it almost fortunate that Teoritta ultimately formed a bond with Xylo. The conversation then shifts to their next assignment, which takes on greater urgency once Xylo learns the military’s true intentions regarding Teoritta.

The episode begins with the new character whom we saw in the previous episode. Tsav is a very unique individual who seems cheerful from the outside, but has a very distinct ruthlessness in him, where he doesn’t even blink while murdering someone. Here, we get to see how he became a hero as we discover more about his past. He has a very simple philosophy. Apart from himself and the people that he likes, no one is important. Thus, it is justifiable for him to kill these other not-so-important people.

After this, we move to Xylo, who is planning on how to stop and kill the faerie that is supposed to attack them soon. Here, Kivia helps him out, and we also see the attention-grabbing powers of Tsav. But that is not all, for the very first time, we see a different goddess. She is bound to another holy knight and is very obedient to him. This is why she also frequently gets pets, something that Teoritta is completely jealous of.

But the best part of this episode comes when we finally get a revelation of what the real threat of this world is. In the previous episode, Venetim alluded to the fact that there are humans who might be siding with the monsters, and that is proven in this episode.  This gives the episode a completely different turn, changing the meaning of the battle altogether.

I really like today’s episode because it showcased the grim reality of the hero’s situation. They are at a clear disadvantage and are even sacrificed mercilessly. Though there are some heroes who definitely deserve to be punished, there are also some who have just fallen victim to a conspiracy.
