Santa Evita: Twitter Is Blown Away By the Historical Biography

The latest miniseries titled Santa Evita has truly mesmerized and intrigued people with the retelling of the history of Argentina and, its First Lady- Eva Peron. The Argentine web series is based on the 1995 novel of the same name by Tomás Eloy Martínez, who also serves as the creator of the show. The script is written by Marcela Guerty and Pamela Rementeria with directors Rodrigo Garcia Barcha (son of Gabriel García Márquez) and Alejandro Maci helming it. Salma Hayek serves as one of the producers for the show.

Natalia Oreiro headlines the series in the role of the iconic Eva Perón. Alongside her, we will see Ernesto Alterio, Dario Grandinetti, Domingo Peron, Diego Velazquez, Francesc Orella, Diego Cremonesi as Eduardo Arancibia, Ivan Moschner, Gabriela Ferrero, Hector Diaz amongst others. The series consists of seven episodes, each with a runtime ranging from 40-45 minutes, approximately.

Another fan wrote, “No please, I just finished Santa Evita and it’s one of the best series I’ve ever seen, for God’s sake!!”. Santa Evita unfolds the crime and drama and what a massive force Eva Peron was in her life as well as death. The series has impeccable production design and the actors have surely nailed their part well. It is no surprise that people are in love with Natalia Oreiro’s Evita, who herself is a huge superstar in South America.

If you are someone who is interested in knowing one of the most important historical figures that need more attention in the world of mainstream cinema, Santa Evita is just the show that will please you. Of course, like most films and series, this latest historical drama has its own set of drawbacks and criticism to receive. There are fans out there who aren’t exactly happy with how the series has turned out to be.
