Who knew a red top and pink pants could be such a deadly combination? On this week’s episode of Koffee with Karan Season 7, guest Samantha Prabhu (of The Family Man and Oo Antava fame) appeared alongside Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and her look blew us all away!
Her stunning long sleeve red, The Attico halter top pairs beautifully with her hot pink trousers. Meanwhile, her Misho Designs jewellery stays subtle and elegant.
The long sleeve viscose top with a maxi tie knot on the top made her look like a stunning Goddess come to grace our screens (as always). The look makes us all want to break into her closet and try on those hot pink fit-n-flare trousers!
Samantha’s make-up artist for the look Avni Rambhia curated a minimalist look that goes beautifully with the outfit.
The nude pink lip shade and dramatic lashes accentuate her best features. With the slightest of contouring and bold, filled brows, Samantha looked like a Fem Fatale who could disarm you with her charm.
It is not unfair to say that Samantha has one of the most flattering and stunning debut outfits on Koffee with Karan. Akshay Kumar’s blue suit was a beautiful contrast to her ensemble.
Although Samantha has been active (predominantly) in the Telugu and Tamil film industries for over a decade, she has only recently gained acclaim with the mainstream Hindi-speaking audience.
In the south, however, she has been a formidable force, both artistically and otherwise.
Over her decade-long career, Samantha has received, among others, four Filmfare South Awards, and four South Indian International Movie Awards. She has even been felicitated by the State of Telangana for her efforts in the development and upliftment of women.
While achieving all of this, her fashion game has been on point. Be it a red carpet, a magazine cover or an award show, Samantha has almost never missed a beat.
Whether it is a sizzling western outfit like she wore on the show, or a traditional Indian get-up, Samantha Prabhu never disappoints.

Only recently, for Sadhguru’s #savesoil campaign, she was seen wearing a Raw Mango striped saree along with (you guessed it!) Misho Design jewellery.
What makes Samantha’s fashion a cut above others, however, is her commitment to Indian high-end fashion brands.
Rather than cover herself in Gucci, Versace or Supreme labels, Samantha opts for homegrown, sustainable Indian brands such as Gauri and Nainika, Raw Mango, Falguni Shane Peacock, etc. That does not mean that she shuns international brands. Her recent work with Burberry can not be forgotten. But her focus on more Indian brands put the spotlight on them, both domestically and internationally.
She is a talented, beautiful, and down-to-earth actress who is only now receiving the widespread acclaim she always deserved.
Prabhu appears on the popular talk show Koffee with Karan’s latest episode alongside Akshay Kumar. While on the show, the two danced to her hit song Oo Antava together.
Samantha is one of the few South Indian film industry stars to have graced the Koffee couch. Other than her, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati are the only ones who have had the honour.
Furthermore, she has a host of interesting projects coming up.
She will star alongside Varun Dhawan in the Indian series of The Citadel – a Russo brothers’ project and will also be the lead in Yashoda set to release in August 2022. The film will be released in Tamil and Telugu. She is also set to play Shakuntala, the titular character in the Telugu language adaptation of Kali Dasa’s epic.
With so much going on, Samantha is definitely a busy woman. She has unarguably captured the hearts of all Indians, irrespective of language. Now, we wait to see where she goes next.
