Initially, Obiguro had the upper hand, but Lu quickly turned the tide, landing powerful blows. However, when the opportunity arose to end the fight decisively, Lu chose to spare her opponent. Her decision stemmed from her newfound family’s values, which involved not taking lives.

At first, it might seem like she was referring to her biological parents, but in reality, she was talking about the Sakamoto family. They are the ones who take care of her and also give her something constructive, like making buns for their shop now. She and Shin both consider the Sakamoto family as their own family.

Meanwhile, the clash between Sakamoto and Boiled escalated. Previously, Sakamoto struggled against him, but this time, he was noticeably quicker and more adept at countering Boiled’s explosive attacks. However, just as it seemed like his greatest threat came from assassins, the episode humorously reminded us that his wife might actually be the most terrifying presence in his life. Her discovery of the bounty on his head left Sakamoto visibly shaken.

In this episode, we get to see another essential and interesting character who should be a permanent addition to the cast. This new assassin is called Mashimo, and he has quite a personality that definitely did not disappoint. His companion is a parrot called Piisuke, and they live their days in utter poverty.

They are so miserable that both live in a tent on top of a building, and he is waiting for the day to make it big in the underworld. That chance comes as he plans to kill Sakamoto and get the bounty on his head. He intends to locate his target with the help of an old photo of Sakamoto.

But somewhere else, the monetary situation of Sakamoto is also not that good as he is bearing the burden of being targeted so frequently. His shop is in tatters, and he must secure funds to make the repairs.

There is a way, and it is through a paintball competition, which will give him a chance to get past these issues. But that is when Mashimo walks in, boldly asking the fat man in front of him to hand over Sakamoto. Being the idiot and simple man that he is, Mashimo could not even recognize his own target now that he is fat.

Shin also becomes as flabbergasted as the audience and takes a peek into his brain only to see the most random and useless thoughts ever. He even manages to convince Mashimo that he is at the wrong place and this is not Sakamoto’s shop. They feed him after taking pity on his sorry self.

But guess what? Mashimo, too, finds himself at the paintball tournament and teams up with the Sakamoto’s. This is where things take a wild turn, and we witness a hilarious episode.

This episode was pretty interesting, and we had some good action sequences compared to the other episodes. Rather than hand-to-hand combat, it was more of a gunfight, and it looked decent with this type of animation.

Verdict

I liked today’s episode if we take things into consideration as an anime-only fan. As someone who has not read the manga, I am quite liking the story so far. Hopefully, the action choreography will get better soon, and we will see a more intense episode.

I would definitely recommend everyone who likes shows with both comedy and action to watch this series.
