Rick and Morty Season 6, is an American adult animated science-fiction sitcom which is set to be released next month. It is created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network’s nighttime programming block Adult Swim. The series follows the misadventures of cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his good-hearted but fretful grandson Morty Smith, who split their time between domestic life and interdimensional adventures.
The official synopsis of the new season reads, “It’s Season 6 and Rick and Morty are back! Pick up where we left them, worse for wear and down on their luck. Will they manage to bounce back for more adventures? Or will they get swept up in an ocean of piss? Who knows?! Piss! Family! Intrigue! A bunch of dinosaurs! More piss! Another can’t miss a season of your favourite show.”
In the last season, Evil Morty blew up the Citadel and destroyed the central finite curve, which separated the infinite universes in which Rick was the smartest being in the universe from the infinite universes in which he wasn’t. Morty was even offered the chance to go with him and be free from Rick, but he ultimately chose to stay.

On top of all of that, Rick’s portal gun appeared to run out of fluid at the end which could have consequences for the new season. But looking at the newly released trailer, it seems that the adventure has just begun and the Smith family is in for a whole lot of trouble.
The trailer tells us that dying and vanishing from one reality are separate things as Rick’s favourite song from the playlist plays throughout. There are some die-hard references, space Beth is back and Summer seems to be getting some wolverine claws. There’s a lot happening while they try to escape from the aliens or some men in black and use Jerry as a human shield.
And even a podcast now? There are said to be 11 episodes in the season.
