5 Best Upcoming Anime of 2026: Most Anticipated New Series

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Final Part – The Calamity

Release Date: July 2026

This part is the last season of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, meaning it will also be the season that will finally end the glorious run of this beloved franchise. Bleach will be the second anime from the big three to conclude, marking a shift in the industry. This part is important because Ichigo will take on Yhwach once and for all.

Not only that, but we will also see some of the greatest battles in Bleach history, where many Soul Reapers would either evolve or lose their lives. But the most important thing is the fact that Aizen will be returning in this part, and this time, he will be fighting for the good guys.

Witch Hat Atelier

Release Date: April, 2026

Witch Hat Atelier is a brand-new anime that is expected to overthrow the fame of Frieren as a fantasy anime. It comes with a pristine animation and some breathtaking mythical elements revolving around the world of witches and magicians.

The story will follow a young aspiring witch who does not really have power, but finds herself in a grave situation because of her dream. From the promotional video, the anime looks really beautiful, and hopefully, it will be as unforgettable as it aspires to be.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run

Release Date: March 19, 2026

This is the 7th part of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure franchise, and it is special because it will feature a completely new world that has nothing to do with the past JoJo’s. Many also claim that Steel Ball Run is the best story out of all the JoJo storylines and has the strongest character writing and thematic depth.

The story will focus on Johnny Joestar, who is unable to walk but wishes to take part in a race that will change his life forever. Needless to say, it’s not just the story we’re excited for, but also the many characters and wacky JoJo elements that are bound to win fans over.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2

Release Date: January 16, 2026

The much-anticipated second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is also here, and this time again, it is expected to provide one of the best visual qualities ever. Here, Frieren will continue her journey with her intriguing and lovable companions, Fern and Stark. We should be able to witness many of their adventures involving other interesting characters and explore more about the history that Frieren once shared with Himmel.

Madhouse goes insane with their animation when it comes to Frieren, and we expect nothing but brilliance from them this time as well. The music score will also be something mesmerising, providing a show that will deserve everyone’s love.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1

Release Date: January 9, 2026

Very soon, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 come back with a brand new story and more epic moments. This time, we will witness the Culling Game arc, which promises to put forward one of the bloodiest Battle Royale-style elements that will leave the audience craving for more. Here, we will also see Yuta in a very different form, who will go head-to-head against Yuji.

From the promotional videos, the animation looks gorgeous, and this time, as well, Mappa should deliver an exceptional cinematic experience.
