Reborn Rich: Song Joong-ki, Shin Hyun-bin and Lee Sung-min Play a Hide and Seek Game of Revenge in the New Character Teaser

Reborn Rich (재벌집 막내아들) is an upcoming South Korean drama series, set to be released this month on JTBC and Rakuten Viki. Directed by Jeong Dae-yun, the drama is adapted from the web novel of the same name by San Gyung. Starring Song Joong-ki, Lee Sung-min, and Shin Hyun-bin in the lead roles.

The story will follow Yoon Hyun-woo (Song Joong-ki) a devoted, hard-working, and loyal secretary to the Jin family, which runs the lucrative Sunyang Group business empire. But one day, he is ruthlessly betrayed by the family, who frames him for embezzlement.

He dies shortly after – but is miraculously brought “back to life” when he wakes up inside the body of the youngest male member of the family, Jin Do-jun. After he realizes what has happened, he decides to take revenge. He hatches a plan to overthrow Jin Yang-chul (Lee Sung-min), the cold-blooded and money-hungry CEO of Sunyang Group.

Yoon Hyun-woo plots to use his new identity to formulate a hostile takeover of the group and punish the people who killed him. Do-jun will also be taking the help of a dogged public prosecutor named Seo Min-young (Shin Hyun-bin), an anti-corruption investigator who becomes known as the “Sunyang Group Grim Reaper.”

Ahead of the release of the drama JTBC has released the character posters and teasers of the lead characters, showing what kind of mindset they will be following in the show. Every poster includes a tagline, which summarises the character’s motivation. The poster for Yoon Hyun-woo reads – “I’ll show you. What is revenge crueller than death? Yoon Hyun-woo, who is reborn, dreams of revenge on Sunyang!”

While Hyun-woo looks sharply at the poster, which also includes the building of Sunyang. The poster of the owner of the company, Jin Yang-cheol reads, “Do you know what I love the most? It’s Sunyang” – Jin Yang-cheol the emperor of Sunyang, who raised it. The last poster of the Prosecutor reads, “I won’t let it go. I’m dealing with Sun-yang” – Seo Min-young, a righteous prosecutor who confronts power without giving in.

The teaser shows Hyun-woo living his life as Jin Do-jun and trying to get all the information on the family, that can be used against them. He seems to be following around his grandfather and owner of the company, only to challenge him by saying “It hasn’t even started yet, grandpa”, in the end.

Jin Yang-cheol Character Teaser

The grandfather’s character is revealed to be someone very money minded, who keeps track of every penny he owns. he presents himself as a businessman who has a price for everything.

Seo Min-young Character Teaser

The teaser reveals Min-young as a tenacious lawyer who is ready to learn and stand for justice. She is approached by Do-jun to go after Sunyang, at first she has some suspicions about his intentions but soon enough, it looks like she catches a big fish and will be going after it.

The Kdrama is scheduled to be released on JTBC on November 18, 2022, and will air every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 KST. The show will also be available for streaming on Viki and will air at 7 PM IST each week.
