Pseudo Harem Episode 8 Review: The 8th episode of Giji Harem or Pseudo Harem was so good that our couple were being lovey-dovey. So, without much ado, let us see how the 8th episode turned out.

Pseudo Harem Episode 7 Recap

This episode begins with Rin discovering a time capsule while tidying up the club room. Inside, she stumbles upon a love letter written by another Rin, who confessed her love to someone special ten years ago. The entire group is taken aback by the fact that another Rin had once been a part of their theatre club and that the present Rin had found her letter. This discovery leads our heroine to reflect on her future with Eiji—wondering if, ten years down the line, they will still be together or if life will take them in separate directions.

Though Rin and Eiji playfully tease each other about the situation, there’s an underlying truth to their banter that hints at deeper feelings. The next part of the episode takes them to a shrine for their New Year’s visit, where they make wishes for the future. It’s here that Rin realizes her senpai will soon graduate, and with that, she won’t see him as often anymore. Later, we learn that both Eiji and Rin have been cast in the school’s production of a new version of *Snow White*, with Eiji playing the Prince and Rin playing the Princess. However, things get a bit complicated when they discover the play ends with a kiss.

As the reality of the situation sinks in, Rin feels the pressure to confess her feelings before Eiji leaves for college in a distant town, while she remains behind. This part of the episode has a bittersweet tone, as we watch the two of them pour their hearts into what will be their final performance together. Their playful moments in the club room will be missed. Rin carefully prepares for her confession, but whether she actually tells Eiji her feelings or not is something you’ll have to see for yourself.

Our couple is finally official, and here we see both of them enjoying the aftermath of their confession. Not much has changed between them, and they are still as sweet and playful individuals as before. The major transition between them is definitely the occasional flusters they both go through.

Another change is that Eiji has let his mother know about his new girlfriend, and she is beyond ecstatic to get a new daughter. At his house, they enjoy a pretty fun interaction, and Rin first announces her wish to hug him. They become embarrassed, and even after initiation, they do not go through with their intention.

In the next segment, we see Rin and Eiji going on a date, but both are in their school uniforms. This was Rin’s idea because she wanted to go on a date like this for the last time. They enjoy a very mischievous date where they both act like kids and do whatever they want. Here, they even run into Aya, Rin’s sister. Her interaction with Eiji is healing, and you can see how good Eiji is with kids.

But my favourite segment is when Rin goes shopping with Eiji. We all know how terrible Eiji’s fashion sense is, thus, he asks his new girlfriend to help him out. This was also a mini-date, and they finally had their first hug here, which Eiji himself initiated. As they will not be able to see each other on weekdays, he just wanted to recharge himself.

Verdict

Our couple are in their honeymoon phase, and their happiness shows in their actions. Both of them are just so in love with each other, and it is great to see them communicating in a healthy manner. But now that Eiji is in college, he will also meet newer people, and this is bound to cause some trouble.
