In the wake of the recent news about BTS members’ enlistment, emotions have been running high among ARMY. The last BTS live session, potentially their final one before the remaining quartet’s enlistment, left everyone in anticipation. Given their hectic schedules during the hiatus, seeing them together today struck a poignant chord among fans.
BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed the enlistment news on November 22, 2023. Today, on December 5, 2023, it was announced that Jimin and Jungkook would undergo their military service simultaneously in the same camp. It’s anticipated that RM and V will serve in supportive roles behind the lines during their service. In contrast, Jimin and Jungkook will enlist on the front lines, starting their service concurrently.
During the live session, discussions revolved around Jin and J-Hope’s imminent return. They also mentioned how Suga has been diligently working, transforming physically after his enlistment. Jungkook mentioned that he hasn’t been working on anything specific but expressed his desire to film one more thing before his enlistment.
Some fans took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their sentiments. One tweet on X read, “They’re always chaotic, but they’re my ultimate escape from this chaotic world. ILY Bangtan.” Another tweet conveyed an emotional response, “I started shedding tears when they did the greeting! What am I going to do without them?”
During the BTS Weverse live, it was noticeable that Jungkook and Taehyung had already cut their hair. Towards the end, it seemed that the Seven Singer briefly revealed his bald head, eliciting laughter and tears from ARMY. As one tweet captured, “This was the most BTS way to end a BTS live ever. They couldn’t even let me cry in peace because they’re so funny—my chaotic goofballs.”
Earlier today, another exciting announcement surfaced before the commencement of BTS military service for the other members, revealing a forthcoming collaboration between Kim Taehyung and IU for a song to be featured on IU’s upcoming album scheduled for release in 2024. The confirmation of this news came directly from IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, as they officially disclosed that IU had completed filming the music video alongside Taehyung.
