The actress was last seen in a supporting role in the sci-fi film The Matrix Resurrections, which stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and others. But the releases this year will mark her comeback as a lead, post her daughter’s birth and she surely has interesting roles to showcase.

Citadel
Created by the Russo Brothers, the upcoming spy thriller series stars Priyanka Chopra as Nadia Sinh, along with Richard Madden stars as Mason Kane, Stanley Tucci, Lesley Manville, Ashleigh Cummings, Roland Møller, Osy Ikhile, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Caoilinn Springall and others.
The series follows the story of an independent global spy agency and its spies, whose memories were erased when the organisation was destroyed. But the top spies are brought in again for a new mission where they will not only recover their past memories, and love but new secrets that led to their separation in the first place.
Citadel is releasing on 28th April 2023 on Amazon Prime Video.
Love Again
It is an upcoming romantic comedy film starring Priyanka Chopra, Sam Heughan, Celine Dion and others. The film is actually a remake of the 2016 German film SMS für Dich, which is also based on a novel by Sofie Cramer.
The story follows Heughan’s character Rob Burns, who doesn’t believe in love ever since his fiance left him. Pushed by the people around him, he starts to change his outlook in life and just when he changes his number as well – something unexpected happens. He starts getting texts from an unknown person, who thinks that it’s their dead boyfriend’s number. With time he starts to understand the unknown person and seeks them out in person.
Love Again will be theatrically released on 12th May 2023.
Heads of State
Revealed quite recently, Priyanka Chopra is set to star in an upcoming Prime video film titled Heads of State. She will be joining the earlier announced cast which includes Idris Elba and John Cena. Director Ilya Naishuller will be helming the action comedy for Amazon studios and is said to be centred on a mismatched pair who are in over their heads in a high-stakes situation.
Although many details or any specific release date have not been announced so far, the shooting is said to begin in the month of May.
Apart from Hollywood releases, the actress is also set to feature in a Bollywood movie titled Jee Le Zara, which is directed by Farhan Akhtar and will also star Katrina Kaif & Alia Bhatt in prominent roles. The story is said to explore and celebrates the friendship between the three leading actresses in a slice-of-life kind of film.
