Priyanka Chopra Jonas, “Can’t Work With People I Don’t Like”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is currently promoting her latest show, about to come to Amazon Prime Video titled Citadel. This show stars Jonas, Richard Madden, Stanley Tucci, Ashleigh Cummings, Roland Møller, Osy Ikhile, Caoilinn Springall and Lesley Manville, alongside other cast members. It is created by Josh Applebaum and Bryan Oh, while Gozie AGBO, Midnight Radio and Amazon Studios join the crew as producers on the show.

The actor has spoken about this show being global and how diversity includes not just diversity in race or colour but also the language and culture we see on screen. She has also mentioned that doing this work for so long has given her the opportunity to choose projects where she can work with people she likes. In the quote, she mentions, “One thing that would be non-negotiable now… It’s actually really true. I can’t work with people I don’t like anymore. It’s really non-negotiable for me.”

Adding to that, she also talks about what the energy of the people she is working with when she comes to set. “I have to admire, look up to and like the people that I work with, like the people that I’m surrounded with.” Adding to that, she says, “I’ve been doing this for a very long time, and I want to be excited about going to work. I want to be inspired about going to work.” Speaking of how she arrives to set with people she likes working with, she says, “When I meet the people that I’m going to work with, I take notes in a little pad.”

Citadel is set to be a global project with projects already approved in India, Italy and other countries as well. This instalment will focus on the two agents, Mason and Nadia, whose memories have been erased after someone double crosses their independent agency, and they almost die in the explosion. Stanley Tucci’s Bernard brings Mason back and asks him to find Nadia and jog her memories so that they can complete an important mission that has just popped up.

The show explores the traits of bureaucracy, the capitalistic tendencies of private investigative organisations and the loss of real relationships that comes with a job like this one. Fans are excited to see this show, knowing the kind of action the Russo brothers generally deliver in all their films. The trailer sets a promising tone for the rest of the show as it releases.
