Positively Yours Episode 6 Recap

Positively Yours Episode 6 Review: Oh Yeon-seo

This episode begins, and Hee-won tries to comfort Doo-joon so that he can get past his anxieties. She also stops the elevator from working as she didn’t want others to see their boss in such a vulnerable situation. Later, to make him feel relaxed, she also takes him to her favourite restaurant and treats him to good food. This is definitely a moment where they come pretty close because Hee-won finally tells Doo-joon how sorry she is for lashing out earlier. In the office, we see that there is going to be a beer brand contest where the person who comes up with a new product will have their name associated with the new beer.

Everyone gears up for this, even Hee-won. At the restaurant, Doo-joon saw the name of Hee-won with her male best friend, Min-wook. This grates in his mind as he becomes very irritated that there was a time when they were so close to each other. The next day, Min-wook even comes to take Hee-won to her office, signalling his feelings towards her. He even asks her out on a date, but it is apparent that Hee-won has gotten closer to Doo-joon in the meantime. Hilariously, while waiting for the office elevator, Doo-joon catches Hee-won and Min-wook together and again becomes very irritated with their closeness.

Doo-joon finally asks Min-wook whether he likes Hee-won in a romantic way, and Min-wook readily confirms. They decide to fight fair and square without utilising their positions, and in doing so, they try to take care of Hee-won in their own ways but in a competitive manner. This leads to some very funny situations, and they go drinking at a bar to outdrink each other. Here, they both drink heavily, and Doo-joon goes to Hee-won in a drunken state to give her every kind of food that he thought she would love. He even tells Hee-won that he will block every criticism that will come her way if their relationship gets exposed.

But something even better happens as Doo-joon falls asleep in Hee-won’s home. The next day, Hee-won’s mother goes to visit her at her office and gives her the number of a good gynaecologist. She again tells her very hurtful things and leaves. But just when everything was going very well for Doo-joon, it was revealed that his father suffered from a heart attack. This is why he could not attend the gynaecology appointment with Hee-won, and she felt very lonely going there alone. But that is when Min-wook comes to accompany her, and when Doo-joon later comes to the gynaecologist, he sees them together.

Positively Yours Episode 6 Review

I liked today’s episode because it clearly shows just how deeply Doo-joon is in love with Hee-won. He does everything within his power to give her the best, even though he knows he is up against strong competition. That said, the story still does not offer anything particularly mind-bending. At its core, it is a fairly normal and generic K-drama, but one that you will likely enjoy nonetheless.
