Pandora Beneath the Paradise (판도라: 조작된 낙원) is a Korean thriller action drama that brings the story of a woman who has to reach the top to protect her family. Directed by Choi Young-hoon, the drama stars Lee Ji-ah, Lee Sang-yoon, Jang Hee-jin, Park Ki-woong, Bong Tae-kyu, and Shim So-young, alongside other cast members.
The show will have 16 episodes and takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:10 PM KST timeslot previously held by Crash Course in Romance. Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 3 has a run time of 62 minutes.
Disney+ synopsis of the show reads:
HONG TAERA LEADS A LIFE ENVIED BY ALL, WITH A PERFECT HUSBAND AND A LOVELY DAUGHTER. HOWEVER, HER LIFE TAKES A TURN WHEN REPRESSED MEMORIES RESURFACE.

Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 3 begins with Tae-ra recalling the memories of her brother who was captured along with her and became Seon-deok’s medium to get her under control. It was through her younger brother that Seon-deok turned her into No. 50 and made her an ace assassin.
Tae-ra then approaches the two and brings her daughter to her side following which she warns Seon-deok to stay away from her family, however, she is threatened by the latter who uses her past as means to blackmail her. Tae-ra then looks back and sees that her daughter has run to her father who introduces her to the press.
They then ask him about his wife to whom he then points, but being surrounded by the media in this situation makes Tae-ra uncomfortable as she soon leaves from there. Jae-hyun then rushes after her and the two talk about his candidacy announcement. They decide to talk later as Tae-ra leaves for home and Jae-hyun is taken to celebrate the occasion with his friends.
Back at home, Tae-ra is against Jae-hyun standing for the elections and tells him that her past can be a problem for him if it were ever to be revealed. However, Jae-hyun does not think much of it and tells her to not worry before leaving with their daughter to sleep.
Tae-ra then remembers what happened earlier that day and rushes to find Yoo-tae at the site of her car crash. There she finds Hae-soo following her after having received a message from Tae-ra which she had not sent. Hae-soo then tries to approach the car when Tae-ra notices a man in a helmet and remembers the light blinking inside her car.
She immediately understands what’s happening and pushes Hae-soo out of the way right when the car explodes. The man soon escapes and Tae-ra checks on Hae-soo, they decide to not inform the police due to the candidacy announcement that took place earlier that day.
Later, Hae-soo tells her to let her know what is going on so that she isn’t worried about her, but Tae-ra cannot stop feeling apologetic towards her and decides to reveal everything once she finds the person behind her current situation. Tae-ra then visits Seon-deok and brings back the incident of her brother’s death that happened because of this organisation.
She threatens Seon-deok to stay away from her family as she will make sure to make her pay for what she has done; also, she won’t kill her right now because she still has some work for Seon-deok. It is none other than finding the person who made her Hong Tae-ra.
The next day, Hae-soo reveals Tae-ra’s accidents to Jae-hyun and suggests he get her personal security, while Seon-deok decides to finally meet Hae-soo. Later, Jae-hyun reveals to Do-jin and Sung-chul that Hanwool Mental hospital has approached them and is ready to help in beginning the human trials of their chip.
Elsewhere, Hae-soo meets Seon-deok and asks about No. 50 and a nurse who was the informant she previously met. Seon-deok tells her that there isn’t much to say about No. 50 while the nurse she speaks of is actually a patient at their hospital. She then takes Hae-soo to the ward and proves herself right.
Hae-soo is left confused and struck by this, however, Seon-deok is angered after her departure by the nurse’s betrayal and asks her about the person behind her betrayal. She finds out that it is none other than Jang Geum-mo who is Do-jin’s father and Kumjo Group’s chairman.
On Jang Geum-mo’s side, it looks like he is looking for a way to bring Jae-hyun down while elsewhere, Tae-ra is going through her sister’s stuff and finds Jang Geum-mo’s visiting card. She then goes to meet Dr Kang who had been treating her this whole time only to find out that he has disappeared all of a sudden.
Back in the news station, Hae-soo continues thinking about the nurse when she is given Tae-ra’s news to cover as she is rising in popularity as the prospective First Lady. On the other hand, Tae-ra is once again surrounded by the press as they try to interview her, but suddenly a man on a bike arrives and takes her away with him.

Pandora Beneath the Paradise Episode 3 Ending
Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 3 ends with Tae-ra finding out that this is the personal security hired by Jae-hyun for her safety. He then puts the Hatch PR team to take care of Tae-ra’s matters and informs the other two about the same. Elsewhere, Hae-soo receives another box from the skull helmet man and inside is a picture of the real Hong Tae-ra with her friend and another picture of No. 50 as Tae-ra with has been struck and the word “fake” written over it.
This surprises her as she begins to make connections between all that is happening and these pictures. Meanwhile, Yoo-ra makes her return she hides at Sung-chul’s house. She tries approaching Do-jin but is rejected by the latter who is angered by her leaving behind an earring. He breaks things off between them and walks away.
However, Yoo-ra is not ready to give up and returns to Sung-chul’s house; there she acts as though in love with him while looking for something. The next day, Hae-soo visits Tae-ra with doubts in her mind and shows her the picture of Hong Tae-ra’s picture she had received. She then notices Tae-ra’s ear which shocks her as she remembers that No. 50 had an ear bitten by a feral dog just like the one she just saw.
On the other hand, a worker tries to delete Red’s files from the computer when Jae-hyun arrives and it is revealed that he is behind Red’s death. It is because he found out that Red’s experiment was a failure and he was not ready for the loss that would follow this, thus, he had someone kill Red.
He then takes out the hard drive from the computer and tries to burn it but someone picks up the burning drive and next we see Do-jin looking at the files and finding out the truth.
Elsewhere, Hae-soo follows Tae-ra to a plastic surgery clinic where the latter has gone to fix her ear. This time Hae-soo gets a more clear view of Tae-ra’s ear and realises that she might just be the No. 50 who killed her father.
Pandora Beneath the Paradise Episode 3 Review
This episode of the show has made it clear that these 16 episodes are going to be packed with information that we need to be prepared for because masks are slowly going to fall and the drama is going to get intense. The show is here to keep us hooked and there are going to be revelations that will leave us all speechless.
Following this episode, we can say that Jae-hyun’s character is one that is sure to bring in more surprises and there is a high possibility that he is the one behind No. 50 becoming Hong Tae-ra. There is also a possibility of No. 50’s brother still being alive because she never really saw him dead as she had fallen into the ocean.
On the other hand, Kang Geum-ho is also bringing out the dangerous businessman vibes slowly and there is more to him than we can imagine, after all, even Seon-deok needs to think twice when dealing with him.
Altogether, this was another intriguing episode that is surely going to get us deeper into the plot that is being revealed each week.
