On the Street Teaser: BTS’ J-hope and Rapper J. Cole Collaborate For a Whistling Track

On the Street Teaser by BTS’ J-hope has got everyone excited with the featuring artist collaboration. On Thursday 2nd March, Hybe Labels released the teaser for the BTS member’s upcoming solo track and surprised everyone by featuring American rapper and music producer J. Cole in the video.

The 40-second teaser starts with J-hope’s back towards the camera and he starts walking forward. He is seen wearing a cream and black Avirex leather jacket, as the camera zooms out a bit more, we see rapper J. Cole standing by the periphery of the rooftop wall. J-hope joins him and stands along, leaning on the wall.

The background can be easily recognised as New York, as the skyscrapers can be spotted and on one of the nearby buildings, a billboard can be seen. If the singer’s previous teaser is to be believed, words written on the billboard ‘It’s My Call’ could be a reference to the lyrics of their upcoming song.

The camera further moves towards the two artists and a whistling sound can be heard, it moves to their sides and pans towards the sky. J-hope and J. Cole are also seen to be looking upward. Following that the title and the release date of the song are revealed, while the whistling melody continues.

From just the short teaser, fans are excited to listen to what kind of unique sound will come out of this collaboration. While J. Cole’s feature might come as a surprise, he was previously seen interacting with the South Korean singer at Lollapalooza last year and BTS fans are putting the two together – concluding that it was a hint.

This track will mark his last release before he enlists in the service for more than a year. Currently, another member Jin is already serving in the service and will be joined by J-hope as well.

Meanwhile, other members – Suga, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook are yet to enlist and are predicted to follow the serving members soon after releasing their own projects as well. The youngest member of the group was also making headlines in the previous few days for deactivating his Instagram account with 52 million followers and the musical live streaming on the Weverse app.
