Obi Wan Kenobi: Ewan McGregor’s Daughter Surprises Fans With an Interesting Cameo

Obi Wan Kenobi’s first two episodes are out and, it has thrilled the Star Wars world with the comeback of one of the most loved Jedi masters ever. Written by Joby Harold and directed by Deborah Chow, this ongoing series is set ten years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. This means we are going to be seeing the bridging gap between the original and the prequel trilogies.

The show is bringing back all the favourites- Ewan McGregor reprises his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi with Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. We also have Sung Kang as the Fifth Brother, Moses Ingram as Reva Sevander/Third Sister, Joel Edgerton as Owen Lards, Simone Kessel as Breha Organa, Vivien Lyra Blair as Leia Organa, Jimmy Smits as Senator Bail Organa, Kumail Nanjiani as Haja Estree and Grant Feely as Luke Skywalker. However, the most interesting and surprising role in the latest episode of Obi Wan Kenobi was played by none other than Ewan McGregor’s daughter- Esther Rose McGregor!

In the second episode, we see Obi-Wan looking for Princess Leia on the planet called Daiyu, pretending that she is his daughter. This is when he runs into pink-haired Tetha Girg, played by Esther, a drug peddler. Obi-Wan seeks some information on his missing daughter from Tetha, who replies that if she is in Daiyu, she’s as good as lost. It is one powerful scene hinting toward galactic human trafficking. It is also funny because Obi-Wan has in some way found his daughter!
