My Liberation Notes Episode 15 Recap: It’s A Date For Gu And Mi-jeong In Seoul

My Liberation Notes (나의 해방일지) is a Korean drama series directed by Kim Suk-yoon and stars Kim Ji-won, Lee Min-ki, Son Suk-ku and Lee El, alongside other cast members. The series has 16 episodes. My Liberation Notes Episode 15 has a runtime of 72 minutes.

In My Liberation Notes Episode 15, Gu takes Mi-jeong on a date that was long due. He buys her new shoes, and food and carries all of her stuff. Both of them find each other all happy after a long time. Mi-jeong is mad at Gu for calling her so late but she is happier because he finally called. When Gu called her, she was about to ruin her Ex-boyfriend’s wedding but she felt that Gu stopped her forming stooping so low and she was thankful for that.

In the middle of their date, Gu gets a call from Samsik for work. Gu was so engrossed in talking with Mi-jeong, that he forgot that it was still his work day. He leaves in the middle and promises Mi-jeong to come back. He hurries over to the club and finishes his work in a hurry. However, a woman creates a scene and makes Gu angry, so much that he threatens her. Gu has a good reputation with his boss but his boss advises him to cut out on alcohol or he will lose everything.

The Yeom siblings live together and Mi-jeong asks Gi-jeong why she didn’t go to the church with Tae-hun’s family but she doesn’t answer. Tae-hun’s sister had humiliated Gi-jeong by not letting her take pictures with Yu-rim at her middle school graduation ceremony. Tae-hun and his sister even get into a fight and Yu-rim tells her father to just get married. Yu-rim also gets angry and leaves with Tae-hun’s elder sister.

Chang-hee now runs a convenience store himself than being a branch manager of the stores. He tried doing other business but failed in it and has just managed to pay off all the debt. He believes that his destiny always leads him to the right place. Just when he moved into a new neighbourhood, he got to own a convenience store. Mi-jeong doesn’t work in card designing anymore but works in a card making company. Both of them get work comfortably now unlike in their previous jobs.

Yu-rim sees Gi-jeong looking at a pregnancy kit and tells her family about it. Tae-hun’s sister tells him to get married if Gi-jeong is pregnant and Yu-rim has agreed to it too. However, Tae-hun doesn’t look ready for it. When Gi-jeong tells him that she is having cravings because of periods, he sighs in relief. This hurts Gi-jeong as it clearly shows Tae-hun’s disinterest. Chang-hee has also broken up Hyun-a and has been low ever since.

Gu worries that he will hurt Mi-jeong again because of his work and that is why, he tells her in advance that he really likes her but someday he might become a different man, even homeless. He wants Mi-jeong to remember that he really liked her. He feels good when he talks to Mi-jeong and hence asks her to listen to him until he doesn’t want to talk anymore and then, they can end it.

My Liberation Notes Episode 15 shows that life doesn’t always change dramatically and miraculously. There will be hardships till you get what you want but there will still be sacrifices that you need to do.
