Obi Wan Kenobi Episode 1 and 2 Review Contains Mild Spoilers

Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 1 is set after everything we saw in the Revenge of the Sith. The story takes place 10 years after Padme’s death. As Kenobi promises to Padme, he makes sure the twins Luke and Leia are in a safe place. With his new identity as Ben lives in Tatooine to keep a close eye on Luke from a distance.

As Ben, Kenobi has buried his Jedi identity. However, the Inquisitors from the Republic are on the Jedi hunt. They want to make sure no Jedi is alive. Their hunt takes them to Tatooine. On the other hand, we meet Princess Leia in Alderaan. She’s a smart girl who’s friends with droids. The Inquisitors kidnap Leia as they believe a Jedi will come and save her.

In Obi Wan Kenobi Episode 2, Senator Bail Organa requests Ben to find Leia from Daiyu. Ben tells Organa that his responsibility is to make sure Luke is safe. However, the Senator insists that he must help them as she’s Luke’s twin sister. Kenobi takes out his lightsaber and heads to Daiyu to save Leia.

With a huge bounty over his head, the Inquisitors looking for him everywhere, and him being unaware that Anakin is still alive, will Obi-Wan Kenobi succeed in saving Leia? After 10 years, will he come across Anakin Skywalker again?

The first two episodes were the first few steps towards getting some answers. The makers added the major elements that make Star Wars world the STAR WARS world. From the Jawas to the droids and lightsaber, the episode had elements that fascinate every SW lover. The premise was also intriguing and instantly captured our attention in the story. While the first episode took time to establish the plot, the second episode had fantastic action and suspense.

The best part about the second episode is the last 10 minutes. Ewan McGregor has displayed so many emotions in that one particular scene. I won’t describe it much because that’s something every fan should watch. That scene and the overall two episodes are enough to raise our expectations. It was delightful to see McGregor back as Obi-Wan. Vivien Lyra Blair was amazing was young Leia Organa.
